By far, my favorite lake that i’ve seen so far. The reflection you get at the crack of dawn is so surreal. I’m going to make the effort to come back next year a few weeks earlier in the fall and hopefully capture more vibrant colors on the surrounding trees.

Reminiscing about some old autumn adventures. Hope you don’t mind.

Maroon Bells

Colorado, June 2018

Reported to be North America’s most photographed lake. These beautiful mountains were named the Maroon Bells after the Iron content they carry, giving them that maroon/red color. You have to take a bus to get to it and where the bus drops you off you can choose to stay at the first lake or do the 5 mile round trip hike to Little Crater Lake. This place was full of wildlife and beautiful aspen trees!
