I love Robin and Lily, but this trio really conquered me throughout this story. I’m going to miss the stupid jokes, the laughs, the bets, the hugs, the whole growing up together thing, and, well, even the lies, the fights, the crying times. I’m gonna miss “You’re not Ted’s best friend, I am”, even when everyone knew that, truth be told: the three of them are crazy about each other.
I remember quite well one episode that Ted said “friendship is an involuntary reflex, you can’t help it, it just happens”. That’s what I saw during these nine perfect seasons: three guys who couldn’t help but being best friends. Friendship is the greatest form of love, and for that, I say thank you “How I Met Your Mother”. Amid the love stories we see everyday, this show really brought out the best in me when it comes to valuing friends and appreciating them.
This scene - when they hug each other at Barney’s wedding - made me cry with a smile on my face. Hope it did the same to you.
