also i am proud to say i was team kate from the get-go… so that bombshell at the end was something i appreciated even though i would’ve been fine with their “we’re all friends act”
anyway thank God we get a season two

The Rollicking Adventures of Eliza Fraser (1976)
Two convicts, John Graham (Martin Harris) and David Bracefell (John Waters), who are picked out of a lineup by Capt Foster Fyans (Trevor Howard) who orders they both be flogged and then brought to his quarters.
We next see the two men shirtless and restrained in pillories facing each other. Graham is flogged first but we only see his reactions and his responses to Bracefell’s questions - he keeps asking if it’s bad.
Finally, it’s Bracefell’s turn, much to Graham’s delight but we don’t see anything of his flogging. Flogger is the nice and burly (but alas not shirtless) Graham Mathrick.
