Michael Morbius is coming

Just seen Morbius at the cinema and absolutely loved it! Worth the 2 year wait. Finally got this drawing done too

SPOILERS 

I watched Morbius in the cinema yesterday and while I feel it was lacking in some places (post to come later) one thing I did truly enjoy was its portrayal of living with a disability. While I don’t suffer from the same illness that Milo and Michael did, I do live my life in pain the majority of the time and I understand where both characters’ motivations come from.

Milo – he says in the film that they have lived their entire lives under the shadow of death and that it is time for everyone else to experience that. My condition isn’t going to kill me, but I understand the desire to make everyone else feel what you feel; every nurse that has ever looked at me like I’m a hypochondriac, every person who has ever looked at my limp with a certain expression, and that one particular kid in the supermarket who laughed at me when I kept dropping things because my fingers weren’t working properly. These are the people who, when I’m feeling particularly low, I wish that I could make experience what I feel all the time, I wish that I could give them just some of my pain and make them understand. I get where he is coming from, before people start to claim that he’s demonising people with disabilities.

On top of that, the suddenly gained ability to do things that you could only ever have dreamed of spoke to me – my condition started when I was about 12 and it took a lot of things away from me that I enjoyed including dancing, trampolining, and even now when I’m trying to re-join groups, regain some of what I have lost it is painful to constantly be reminded that I have limits other people do not. If I was suddenly given something that could remove my pain, not only remove those limits but extend my abilities? I would take it. It’s painful having to watch other people do things you desperately want to do and if I got that chance, I do think that the overwhelming relief of being free would take away from any consequences and I do think that being able to exercise control over people who could have controlled me previously would be a heady experience. *

Michael – that said, the horror of hurting people, of being out of control is completely understandable. If the cure came at the cost of other people’s lives, would I continue as I was or undo the one thing that I’ve wanted for years? I understand why they couldn’t have Michael return to his state at the start of the film because they want him for sequels etc, but I do think that if his character arc was completed it would involve going back to how he was before and continuing to search for a more reasonable cure. And yet, watching him fight desperately to avoid returning to his previous state is incredibly relatable and I think could probably be compared to a drug addiction if anyone wanted to do anything with that metaphor.

In the two of them, I see the two sides of a potential reaction – the fight between ‘I suffered, now it is their turn to suffer’ and ‘I can’t let people suffer like I did.’ It is incredibly human, and I very much enjoyed how that was the main conflict of the film.

*NB – I do not condone murder under any circumstances, this is just a reflection on how I understand.

Okay Fellas i know no one really cares but i am a little too excited to shut up So here’s my spoiler free Review of Morbius and if you don’t want to waste your time reading about my thoughts and my experience you can skip all this and see the conclusion down near the post incase if you are thinking whether to watch or not ‍♂️

Anyways Morbius Actually Starts of really great and well , I really really enjoyed the first 15 mins of the movie a lot , i liked the direction and vision which was layed ahead of The film and to be honest the first half of the film is pretty decent if you ask me but then comes the evil idk what happened to the director and writers they ruined everything they built in the first half and screwed the second half of the film completely which was a little dissapointing to me But it isn’t as Bad as The people on twitter and other social media platforms are painting it to be ? NO IT AIN’T THAT BAD !!! Is it a Masterpiece or a classic that defines cinema ??? FUCKING NOT , It is Mid at best and maybe an above mediocre content which had the potential to be great and epic but the director and writers couldn’t see it still nevertheless I HAVE TO SUMC ISN’T PLAYING I MEAN SONY UNIVERSE OF MARVEL CHARACTERS … DUH…. Morbius maynot be solid start but MORBIUS THE CHARACTER has a very bright future ahead If the right director touches this material its gonna become a cult , Morbius characterization was Great , Jared leto killed it as Morbius , he was so perfect to the Role and has done justice to the character , he didn’t do anything extraordinary or out of the box but he was fine as hell and Matt Smith was Good too but they didn’t use him properly in the film , All i gotta is say in the end i am really happy and i came out of the cinemas smiling because i saw one of my all time fav comic book character’s Live action movie A SOLO LIVE ACTION MOVIE I THOUGHT WOULD NEVER BE MADE ON HIM , So that was nice … The Ending was okay i guess but could have been better ? BUT THE MID CREDITS SCENES & POST CREDIT SCENES ARE MAD CRAZY , Adria arjona is hot as hell in the film that’s all i could say for now on her character but SHE IS GOING TO HAVE A LOT OF FUN LATER IN THE RUN Again if you see the film you’d know what i mean ‍♂️

Just Like Venom The origin story of Morbius is quite different from his comics counterpart But The character is just same and infact i would even say that Jared leto’s Morbius is much more human , empathic and a very Fun character ALSO THEY MADE HIM SO STRONG BRO LIKE A GOD IF YOU ASK ME THE MCU’S TOM HOLLAND’S SPIDEY CAN NEVER WIN AGAINST HIM IN AN ONE-TO-ONE FAIR & SQUARE FIGHT IF YOU ASK ME HE’S THAT POWER-FUL even Raimi’s Spidey cannot win against this Morbius ‍♂️ The Andrew’s Spidey might win against him but he too would have to sweat a lot in the end , the only Spidey who would easily beat him is Tobey’s Symbiote Spider-Man i can think of , i really hope they don’t Tone Down Morbius’s Powers in the future films tho just to make Spidey win i want a fair and Square old school battle so Yeah

The Film lacked sincerity , heart and soul imo but if the right director touches it MORBIUS IS GOING TO BE A BLOCKBUSTER MATERIAL … I MEAN IF YOU SEE THE MOVIE YOU’D KNOW ITS POTENTIAL COZ OF THE SET-UP & ALL

In Conclusion : Morbius is not for everyone so I’d not suggest it , if you are die hard fan of this comic book character like me which is very unlikely you have to watch it and if you love jared leto you will obviously watch it so i don’t need to convince you or anything but if you are normal cbms / movies lover or you are having thoughts about watching it , I’D say do not go to Cinemas unless you just want to have some fun with your friends and watch a mediocre / Not so great movie on purpose ‍♂️ so there’s that

Guys this is kind of personal thing that i need to share with y'all please don’t Judge me tho , I Finally booked my tickets to watch Morbius Tomorrow and i am actually and really excited for it istg this isn’t trolling or i am being ironic here… i genuinely am excited for it The Reason being

John Constantine Aka Hellblazer, Batsy ( batman ) , Spidey , Hulk , Flash & Morbius are my all Time Fav comic book characters LIKE THIS IS LITERALLY MY TOP6 ( in no particular order by the way ) and ik some of you might make fun of me or clown me for stanning morbius but i have read his comic at a very young age and i have been obsessed with vampires and shit bcoz of him and i have a lot of special bond on this character due to this particular reason and i also know he was awfully written in many spidey panels but his original run was superior you’d know if you have read it but anyways

Batman Got his live action Movie releases many times so did spidey and hulk got a few and Morbius is finally getting one now Flash will release too soon or later lmao so yeah all my Fav comic book characters got Live action Movie releases or they are bout to… ( AND NO WE DO NOT COUNT CONSTANTINE HERE YK THAT FILM WHERE THEY AMERICANIZED JOHN CONSTANTINE PLAYED BY KEANU REEVES & Even Rachel weisz starred in it ? we actually don’t count it ) So there you go , i am so happy and excited and i just hope it is decent enough like Venom lol or atleast i hope its enjoyable and entertaining enough So good luck to me
