“Objects in the mirror are closer than they appear.” The words in bold print on rearview mirrors subtly take up residence in one’s subconscious from the first moment they notice the warning typed over the reflection of one such “object” lurking in the small frame of existence right outside their vehicle.

The threat remains throughout the vehicle’s travels, regardless of the miles and landscapes it leaves behind. No matter what lies ahead, the ominous “objects” edge closer, larger in the corner of the eye; however, the shadows are often placed in the mind’s blind spots, left to fade. They never appear close enough to reality to have effect on anything but the mirror itself.

So what happens when the object creeps up and is suddenly upon you? When it overcomes you? What if the vehicle’s entire journey is purposed to run from the figures in the mirror? What if those figures in your mirror are closer than they appear?

Ngl when im reading fanfics i always try to avoid the ones that include abusive/neglectful kageparents. Its just a peev of mine, i dont like them, they feel wrong . I dont understand why so many fics include them as bad parents even though there is nothing that implies that in the maga and show (that i know of) they are litarly just trying there best but they get antagonized so much

(The ones where there parents arnt present even though the kids are in their house and stuff also feed weird (and like a cop out) but is more forgivible/readable even tou i still usually leave the fic once i see “oh our parents are on a week long trip” )

I will never forgive Netflix for giving the ninjago seasons the wrong numbers for like 6 fucking years. This screwed me up for so long since i cant count so i was like “yeah of course season 5 comes after season 3.” Hell i still get it wrong, i still call season 6 season 7. Ive been watching since before they put season 3 on Netflix and and its in my blood to call seasons 4 5 6 and 7, 5 6 7 8 instead of there actual numbers.

They still are doing it btw. They fixed the master of spinjitzu season numbers but for the new ninjago has two seasons merged into one season. Season 12 and 13 are both considered season 2 even though they are two diffrent seasons and plots. Ig its cus the first season had fire chaper and ice chapter but like thats cus they are followups, ice happens amidietly after fire. Prime empire and master of mountains have time inbetween them.

Little pretentious rant cus i keep complimenting season 7 hands of time when in reality im talking about season 6 skybound (its sucks cus hands of time is my least favorite season)

Ninjago lore is so convoluted and stupid. Like i can explain almost all of it from season 1 to season 15 easily but that would take hours because there is so much before ninjago content and so many things tying into things qnd more things. This show is its own circle of hell and im trapped in it cus brain when “hur durh ninja when spin he ha he”

Like how do i explain that garmadon was bit by a snake that was gonna make him pure evil and cus of that he cucked his brother and married his crush and whike that was happing his brother,wu, adopted a kid and that kid died cus he wanted to be special.

then they team up to fight snakes cus snake people are here now fighting i think to prevent the overload prophecy but it might have just been cus the humans where racist idr. They fight against garmadons old teacher who is evil btw. They are losing really badly but while doing a sad walk through a village they see a snake charamer and realize that they can hypnotize the snakes with the flutes so they do that and banshin 5 strong snake guys to death and also garmadons teacher to like an island or something, but oh no these guys that where fighting with them turn out to be evil and want to take over the world so they like punch them or something and seal their elements into these weird blade thing, oh yeah did i mention there are elemental masters, anyways.

Peace returns till garmadon becomes fully evil and plans to take over using these golden wepons of mass destruction (that are honestly kinda useless but eh) but wu has to stop him so they fight two golden weapons on two golden weapon and garmadon win and tries to kill wu but wu is wearing a gi that has a binding or some shit that says “no you” and strikes garmadon down into the underworld and from there he like beats up some skeletons and becomes their king or something. Wu thinking the weapons are to dangerous goes out to give them to fucking dragons cus they exist to and makes a map and gives it to a fire dude i dont remember the name of. Then said fire dude gets kidnapped by said evil that got their powers stealed by the blades leaving the new fire dude and his sister parentless and the map that they dont know of with them

AND THATS BEFORE THE SHOWS EPILOGUE EPISODE. THATS NOT EVEN INCLUDING ALL THE STUPID ASPHERA SHIT OR THE SPLITTING OF NINJAGO AND THW STONE ARMY OR THE FUCKING WINDERA SNAKE OF WIND AND STORMS OR THE NADAKHAN LOREOR THE NYAD AND THE TRIBES SHIT OR REALM CRYSTALS. THATS JUST THE THINGS WE GET TOLD AND SEE MONTAGES AND FLASHBACKS FROM.
