Todoroki: I have heterochromia.
Midoriya: But… :(. That’s okay you love who you love and I’ll support you!-
Todoroki: What are you talking about? Why are you crying?

Q: Is there a specific moment in the series regarding Bakugo Katsuki that sticks out in your mind for any reason?
A: “The apology. It´s more recent. More fresh. It feels to be done at a bad time and place. We see Midoriya just standing there. No reaction. He is a doll. A prop. Seemingly not in the right mental space to actually really understand it.
Bakugou insulted him just minutes ago.
When I got to this result in the survey submissions, I got really excited because it touches on one of the things I absolutely loved about the apology. In regards to the submitter’s opinion: I don’t take most of this apology in the same way they do, but there is one thing I am absolutely in agreement about and it’s the opening statement and want to talk about.
“…[The apology] feels to be done at a bad time and place. We see Midoriya just standing there. No reaction. He is a doll. A prop. Seemingly not in the right mental space to actually really understand it.”
Yes. Yes, it does. In fact, this was my first thought on reading the leaks and the resulting tragedy. This ISN’T the place and this ISN’T the time. And this is part of the tragedy of the whole dang thing.
This post is long but I’ve broken it into parts:
The Many Moments Bakugo Wanted to Apologize
What Held Back Bakugo from Apologizing Before This
Why Both Atonement and Apologies Are Flawed But It Doesn’t Mean They Aren’t Worth Doing
The bois
No reason. I wanted a crossover of BNHA and GITS.
One day two of the Midoriya family went on a camping trip with other families, but bad weather and a dangerous stretch of road created an accident that caused most of the people to die. There were few survivors, and it changed them forever.
After that, the number of mysterious murders among politicians and businessmen, including criminal masterminds, increased dramatically. Those who were not murdered were brought to trial, after which they committed suicide or were put in a psychiatric hospital for the rest of their lives.
Fifteen years after the tragic event, a new operative with an incredible analytical mind, but with scanty social skills was assigned to the special rapid response unit. For investigator Bakugou Katsuki it was the first blow - the newcomer was an exact, but matured copy of his long dead friend, at whose funeral he directly participated. And like a bad dream he remembered when the coffin with his friend, who had just turned five, was sent to the furnace for cremation.
The second blow came suddenly - the newcomer was similar not only in appearance but also in character and manner, which infuriated Bakugou, evoking the most terrible and painful memories. Everything indicated that is Izuku. But he did not remember him and never knew him, as the newcomer claimed.
The third blow was the most painful - on a mission to intercept a gang, the newcomer framed himself, protecting Bakugou from a fatal wound, and losing only his arm. Which turned out to be fully cybernetic. Augmented humans using the latest technology, or robots that were almost indistinguishable from humans, were commonplace in this time. But still. In front of him was a very real cyberhuman, who could philosophize freely and be vividly passionate about something, even fanatical, which was not typical of machines.
A sketch from my Izuku is cursed AU
Maybe I’ll finish it one day
There is no need for their attacks to use the middle fingers and yet…
!!!
I’m just curious, who took a combat technique from whom? Is Dad copying his son, or is the son imitating Dad? Or… it’s all the Sports Festival’s fault!!!
