Bad ending headcanon: Adrien was in on it the whole time. He’s pretending to like Ladybug only to earn her and everyone’s trust. The reason he was so willing to become a superhero is because he knows the story of the miraculouses (hello his dad literally had the book) and knows it’s the only way he can get his mom back

Chat Noir, on the outside: you’re not really replacing me with a TURTLE, are you??

Everyone, including Ladybug: oh my god he’s just insecure! He has abandonment issues! Must protec

Chat Noir, on the inside: I swear to god if I just spent 2 whole seasons kissing up to Ladybug for her to replace me in 2 seconds with Nino in a scalie suit I WILL cataclysm the Eiffel Tower again

Bonus: Adrien acts all oblivious but secretly know everyone’s super hero identity. So when he says his dad won’t let him out of the house, he actually never asked for permission and is instead making a plan to lure them all in and get the miraculous. He’s being patient, gaining their trust and sympathy…until he notices Marinette a.k.a Ladybug has a crush on him. He takes full advantage of that.

Nino, sneaking a bunch of his classmates who aren’t Marinette into his house: we’re here to throw a party!!

Adrien, trying not to show how annoyed he is: where’s Marinette?

Nino: well, we thought-

Adrien, internally: I’m gonna throw these people out the window she was finally going to be here with a distraction!!

Marinette: *sneaks in*

Adrien:

Extra: Okay, now imagine Chat Noir going over to Mari every once in a while to chat (pun not intended) or as he calls it Operation Take Away The Earings and he begins to grow fond of her. His tail wraps around her when she tries to stand up, he purrs when she pets him unexpectedly, then when she replies back with all her sass, his heart misses a beat. Of course, he’ll blame it on Plagg. Talking about Plagg… How would they interact?

Adrien, who didn’t even try once to save her, but has pieced together that acts of kindness are her love language: I’ve been trying for months. It was the 25,913th time. I don’t know what to DO ANYMORE

Adrien: *running back to his car* WE LEFT BOTH MIRACULOUS THERE! I CAN GET THEM BOTH

Tikki: *appers* sorry, there was a mix up with the miraculous. LB is Chat
