No more need for ‘damian looks just like his father’ society has progressed passed the point for ‘damian looks just like bruce’
Damian who looks unmistakably like Talia nation rise
Modern Batman’s comics would be 10x more entertaining if there was a running joke about how Bruce’s only biological son is ironically the only one who does not resemble him, while all of his adopted sons look like they could be his literal clones.
Imagine a woman coming to Bruce & Tim in some Gala and shaking Tim’s hands while saying something like “Oh! You must be Bruce Wayne’s real son that everyone is talking about, Damian was it? It’s an honor to finally meet you!” then an annoyed voice below her says “no bitch that’s me” and the woman looks down to see a small brown Arab boy with his hands on his hips and looking at her with pure disgust and anger for daring to mistake Tim for him.
“batmobiles are useless just use your friend as a mode of transportation” said like, every bat ever.
but I love him your honor

A conversation about Waynes who think they can beat the unbeatable inspired a few ideas. Bruce and Minecraft, as written by the amazing @audreycritter and Damian and Legos.
I present to you all, Dick introducing Damian to legos.
“Grayson, I have a question about our batarangs. Could they not be made more efficient if we were to use a different form of metal?” Damian’s voice preceded his person as he entered the room of the penthouse Dick had designated office and do not disturb unless the tower was about to fall down.
Not that Damian followed that request. Ever. The kid never even bothered knocking. Not anymore at least, it was something Dick was both happy with and frustrated about. Formal and sullen to brash and still sometimes sullen was not always a good transition.
“Damian.” Dick said, trying to keep the impatience and exhaustion from his voice, “Bruce tried a hundred different metals for the batarangs when he was getting started. I’m pretty sure what we have is the best.”
“Tt.” the door closed as Damian left.
Dick sighed and looked back down at the stack of papers on his desk. He was trying to read a proposal towards developing a new, more eco friendly form of jet fuel. He was interested in it, and all for finding a better way to fly anything, but it had been written with so much jargon and flair Dick was finding it hard to parse even in small bits, and he’d helped Bruce design fuel for the batplane.
He made it half a paragraph before, “Grayson, Pennyworth has ejected me from the bunker, is there anything I may assist you with?”
Dick took a breath and looked up at his little brother. At least he was asking to help and not running off on some self imposed mission. Dick liked to think he’d gotten Damian over the habit of needing to train or do work constantly, even if the kid still seemed suspicious of ‘fun’ activities.
“Did you finish your assignments for today?” he asked.
Made another piece for the second chapter of @peppersonironi‘s@dukethomasbigbangfic!!

Hello lovelies :)
I’ve decided I won’t be posting on this page anymore :’) it’s been a long journey but it’s time for things to come to an end
1) I’m a junior in college I’m insanely busy all the time w 20 credits per semester
2) arguing with white people on this app is beyond exhausted especially as a queer blacks person. Reminder that its not my job or the job of ANY POC to educate white people on being anti-racist. Which for some reason is not something a lot of people are able to grasp
My last post had a shit ton of white people come into my inbox and messages playing victim saying “colonizer” was an offensive term. And calling Bruce a colonizer is a slur. That Damian has “a better story with his white father than his Arab side”, that the ethnic identity of Dick doesn’t matter. That Duke and Cass were forced diversity. And I’m just too old and don’t have time for that type of bigotry. And while many might say “just ignore it” non POC particularly non BIPOC will never truly understand experiencing racism from every platform and every corner of your life. So since I have control of this blog, I’m not going to be entertaining racists or allow them to create scenarios where POC are the villains and white people are the victim just because they’re uncomfortable when called out. I don’t regret a single thing I said about Dick, Damian, Duke, or Cass. (None of this is related to the conversations about Bruce being ethnically Jewish)
The fandom, like 90% of fandoms… is toxic. and DC writers without a doubt are problematic. There is no denying it and as an adult, I have to advocate for my own mental health preservation as well as define what being an ally and activist means to me, and making excuses for the fandoms bigotry at my fossils age of 20 too close to 21, is not something I can be comfortable with
3) I’ve had this blog since I was 16/17? In many ways it’s outgrown me and I’ve outgrown it.
DC and the batfam has had such a huge impact on my life and it will forever be something I love and adore but it’s time for me to part ways with bats-and-brats. Thank you to everyone who has followed, liked and rebooted me all these years and sent me supporting messages. I’m not going to delete the page but I will no longer be answering messages, requests or replies ❤️ - Les
Things I think of regularly
- Damian is half Middle Eastern/Arab?? I feel like a vast majority of the fandom (specifically the ◻️ population ) chooses to forget this and write it out of headcanons and fanfics not to mention the white washing…
- Middle Eastern culture specifically the food is something I know Damian holds on to dearly (which is canon) and I think he introduces his brothers and sisters/ others to it.
- Same goes w Dick, who basically had his whole ethnic cultural background erased he’s ethnically half Romani and I think that should be talked about more. And if u know anything about history you know why it’s problematic to erase this part of his character
- Cass and Duke as well for extremely obvious reason
- I just think it’s incredibly important to recognize the cultural differences of the POC and marginalized groups in the DC universe because let’s be honest if it weren’t for them would people still be that interested in a white man part of the 1% running around “fighting crime”
- Damian, Duke, and Cass calling Bruce a colonizer is honestly the funniest thing to me
I’ve said a lot of this stuff before but I think some people ( *cough* ◻️ Americans) still need to be reminded of it frequently.
EDIT: these are not things I’m going to debate ESPECIALLY with nonPOC. You have some nasty racist shit to say? You’re getting blocked.
EDIT TO EDIT 2(wow): @hillshollow explained that the dc creators did make Bruce ethnically Jewish (don’t get on me I know that he is not practicing but that doesn’t erase his ethnic identity)!! So everything I said down below involving antisemitism applies to him and his mother.
Some other DC characters that are firmly canonly Jewish: Both Hal Jordan and Harley Quinn are Jewish and there is intentional erasure of their cultural/religious identities as well throughout the DC fandom and comics which if u didn’t know is absolutely anti-semitism.
