Sharing my fanart of General Amaya, a piece I did for the Amaya fanzine ‘Armored Heart’! @amayazine. The proceeds of the fanzine are donated to the World Federation of the Deaf, whose advocacy is aligned towards the promotion of equal rights and access to language for the deaf community across the world. Through my profession, I have also been involved with art education for learners with special needs. It’s what drove me to contribute for collaborations like this. The Dragon Prince has really been critical to pushing forward visibility, inclusivity, and engagement for women and POC in recent media. It’s integrity to this vision is refreshing and honest.
I am deeply thankful for those who preordered a copy. I am also thankful for the Amaya Zine contributors and the organizers who have been meticulous and patient with us as we formed our works for the zine.

My drawing interest includes all forms of characters (which you can see above) and you can commonly find me working on League of Legends/ LoL esports fanart as it is my current interest. I also draw a lot of fantasy characters and Dungeons and Dragons characters/OC’s since I have also been deeply interested in playing/roleplaying for the longest time as well. I love anime. I have been a fan since my childhood. I can draw about just about anything that I can get my interest in, and most of what I love is under the sci-fi/drama/fantasy genre. Currently I have been finishing Saiyuki. I also am a big Star Wars fan. I’ll be watching The Mandalorian soon and may once more do a deep dive in creating SW fanart.
I know that there have been many terrifying things that have been happening all around the world. While the pandemic rips through society, governments take decisive and violent opportunities to pass laws that will allow them more freedom to do acts of terror and limit the rights of its citizens and keep them in a stranglehold, ironically. In Hong Kong, citizens are now ruled over by a new security law that jeopardizes their democracy and freedom of speech. Likewise, in the Philippines, the signing of the Anti-Terror Law is utilized against government dissent and criticism of all varying forms and medium only to arrest protestors for terrorism. This cannot happen, as we are still fighting against this law from fully integrating in a matter of a few days. A portion of your donation will be going to local charities that I personally donate to to fight against a terrifying authoritarian government.
I know 3 USD is not much, but for me, this is more than enough. I will honor your donation and happily continue creating for as long as my will and mind are firm, and my heart is alive and strong.
Big League of Legends fan. But it’s not yet the time for me to write a love letter yet.
This is a significant leap for me in challenging myself to do art! It’s already super ambitious of me to want to color a piece– let alone six different characters all with different characterized palettes, themes, and everything. And since I have not been continuously coloring my works very often… I was experimenting on coloring methods on the fly!? I am very, very rusty on this, and it took me three weeks (on/off) for the process to come to a grueling full circle.
I ended up learning a lot more about myself and my tools. I now have added more experience on how to challenge myself with colors. I definitely know I could do better next time; do pre-preparations more! I just need the appropriate motivation and drive to do it.
Even if the horizon is long and somber, we can still catch the soft pillars of sunlight in our hands.

Here is a compilation of finished illustrations, and some that I’m still working on. I’ve been trying to keep up the constant movement and productivity, really, since stagnation has always been the death of me. I may be slow as hell in doing things (mostly because of the weather), but I’ve shown no signs yet of burnout.
One thing I realized about picking and choosing colors is that aside from using reds-yellows, I have this tendency to use a lot of greens as highlights or backdrops. Never really realized this, but it has surely come about mostly between late 2019-2020.
I’ll add on more once I finish what I am working on.
A love letter to Dungeons and Dragons. (Because if there was anything I realized over this covid-19 lockdown is that I am severely impaired with relaying my personal opinion.)
This year, I finally got into D&D. I do not talk much of my private life, but I’d like to start now by sharing how I gradually eased in to this game. My previous experience was dictated from a homebrew RPG game that I played with my friends. I thought I could easily nail down mechanics and basic player information, call it cockiness on my part. But in spite of the help I got, and a little bit of room to study, the DND culture intimidated me a lot. The worldwide following of the game, the many examples of other exemplary DND sessions (critical role), the min-max and creative character-player building; it took no time for the 5e rules to do its impact equally.
I faced facts. I’m a newbie. I’m not content when I lag at learning new things that I want to enjoy, or that I do not have time to learn about it. The anxiety build up is palpable right here. The only way I bounced back is doing what I knew best: ask a bunch of dumb questions, attempt correct assumptions, prepare in advance, and vent by drawing. To be honest, I am improving by taking small steps forward. I’m still hesitant about my progress, but at least my friends are around to help me process feedback. I will have to live with the culture that DND upholds, and maybe quietly apprehensive if it is something that will either embrace me or swallow me alive.
What ultimately gives me joy are the memories I made with my friends, the world building, and the OC’s. I proudly drew my player-character, the Cleric Aasimar Carnelia, and the player-character of @littlewatty a Rogue-Swashbuckler Tiefling, Sabine. The tensions rise in the portside city of San Briella, where these two rebellious mavericks join forces to expose the deep network of a seedy underbelly, esoteric cultists, and elite society. Carnelia and Sabine also learn how to deal with their turbulent relationship and alliance, for better or for worse. Near death experiences have been unforgiving, and I may yet learn what other hardships lie waiting. It could be something that stems from afar, or it could be happening in close proximity.
