2020 was a bad year for me in terms of art. I injured my hand in may and couldn’t work for almost 6 months. I’m still recovering and it will be a long road until I can work full time again as an artist.
Take care of your body, take breaks, exercise and stretch. Don’t make the same mistakes I did. You will regret it.

Art Vs Artist 2020✨
Last post of the year and finishing it with the #artvsartist trend! It’s been a bad and crazy year. A year we all will remember and most of us in a bad way. My chronic pain got worse, my engagement is dying and I’m not growing anymore here so I’m very unsure about my future as an artist, I’m scared of catching the virus and getting the long term sequelae added to my chronic pain… And I can consider myself lucky because even if I had a bad year, at least I hadn’t any personal great loss. If you have lost someone to this pandemic, or to any other accident/illness/disaster, I’m really sorry, and I know those words won’t ease your grief. The only thing that I can tell you is that it’s okay to take your time to grief, it’s okay to cry, it’s okay to feel bad. You will have to eventually get up again and keep up with your life, but if you need a pause and you can afford it, take it. And wish for you the best About the post, these are some of my favourite pieces of this year, and I hope I can keep making more the next one! Because I’m not sure about my next step as an artist, I plan when I finish all my commissions to take a break from them and think deeply about my art and where to lead it. I need to make of it a stable income if I want to keep surviving as an independent illustrator, because if my chronic pain doesn’t get better, working on my own with my own schedule at home is my only option of making a living. If you want to help my art grow, becoming a patron is always a great way, I’m planning a lot of new extra content only for my patrons for this next year. A year of ups and down but we still keep moving.
Here is a compilation of finished illustrations, and some that I’m still working on. I’ve been trying to keep up the constant movement and productivity, really, since stagnation has always been the death of me. I may be slow as hell in doing things (mostly because of the weather), but I’ve shown no signs yet of burnout.
One thing I realized about picking and choosing colors is that aside from using reds-yellows, I have this tendency to use a lot of greens as highlights or backdrops. Never really realized this, but it has surely come about mostly between late 2019-2020.
I’ll add on more once I finish what I am working on.

Finishing this year with a collage h
I did two versions bc i still like the chaotic energy of the first photo(and it fits the color scheme better) but i’d also like to make it a bit more serious
So here are some works of 2020 that i like!! Couldn’t fit all of them bc this year’s been quite good for me in terms of art and creating things(and i got into sewing again)
Next year i’m hoping to draw more, maybe finishing some of the things i already started or want to start and, who knows, i might finally make a price list for my commissions. Maybe in written form?? but that’s still something, right c:
