ngl it’s pretty annoying to me when the response to any female character existing in proximity to a mlm ship (canon or not) is either “boo she sucks I don’t want her to be a love interest and get in the way” or “don’t worry she’s their mean lesbian bestie” like have you tried being normal about women for once
Galahad smiled and pulled the door open, bowing chivalrously to Mordred and Guinevere. “My queen, sir knight, after you.”
“You can call him ‘my prince,’ you know,” Guinevere teased. “More romantic that way.”
“Mordred doesn’t like that, since he couldn’t inherit from his step-father,” Galahad corrected. Guinevere gave the now fidgeting prince a look.
“You didn’t tell him?”
Mordred rubbed the back of his neck. “Not yet.”
Galahad blinked and looked between the two of them. “Tell me what?”
Guinevere inclined her head, prompting Mordred to sigh. “Okay, and I want the record to show that this is a really bad time to tell you, but my biological father was, and kind of is, I guess, King Arthur. He’s accepted me as his son now, so it’s sort of official.” Galahad opened his mouth but Mordred interrupted. “And just… don’t think about it too much. It gets ickier the longer you do.”
With a knowing gaze, Galahad softly smiled and shook his head. “Mordred, I already knew. I just wasn’t sure if anyone else did.”
His mouth fell open. “You… what? How—”
“We covered Arthurian legends in freshman year at my old school. Some were horribly inaccurate, but most all agreed that you were Arthur’s son,” Galahad explained. “I just needed you to confirm it.”
For a few seconds, Mordred couldn’t speak. “You know, I kind of forgot those existed for a bit there,” he finally said.

Every year as the days get hotter, Tristan spends less time outside and is a little lethargic inside. Very reasonable, right? Every other creature in Florida does the same.
We’ve been trying to figure out why he produces such an enormous amunt of (not infected) goop from his eyes, and dealing with severe skin reactions to some biting insect. We tried Cytopoint a month ago.
It’s getting hotter out, still, but every day now Tristan is having a *better* day. More playful outside and inside, spending more time outside, more into mischief every day. In this video, he’s been patiently trying to teach Gwyn how to play “keep-away” properly (pick up the toy, mouth the toy, pretend to drop it, pick it up, push it away from you; Gwyn is having a little trouble with pushing it far enough away when she volleys it back).
WhenKovu arrives, Tristan is so thrilled he wants to tell him loudly All The Things. Since this involves 25 lb Tristan yelling excitedly in 12-lb Kovu’s face, we need to manage it so Kovu doesn’t get steamrollered. But through the visit Tristan and Kovu still have plenty of time for mutual adoration.
Quiet, gentle Tristan gets enthused and worked up as he barks and rawrs at Kovu. Sensible, chill Kovu gets worked up as he barks and rawrs at Tristan. Both of them wagging nonstop.
It was an important conversation, whatever it was about. If they were human I think they would have been waving their arms demonstratively; they were already pacing around the room as they excitedly discussed it.
AKovu came to visit us! Both Spaniels absolutely adored having him with us. The resident thumb-monkeys had a great time playing with the kissy cuddly wriggler, and visiting with Kovu’s human.
