Yuma Station was abandoned long before the Simpocalypse took place, but that doesn’t mean it’s not a great swimming hole. If you don’t mind a little bit of pollution, and maybe a teeny tiny dose of radiation, it’s a great place to cool off on a hot Summer day. Be sure to bring the kids. Who knows what cool new mutations they might pick up after taking a quick dip in the old tank car.
This is my entry for @Brennachansims #MurkyDaze “Murkspiration” build challenge. Originally I was going to do a"murky” take on the old swim club I used to go to as a kid, but something about swimming in a tank car under a water tower just hit home with me. I’ll probably finish the other build at some point.
You can find the Yuma Station Swim Club in my SimDoughnut gallery (user id:simdoughnut). This NoCC Pool venue sits on the 40x30 lot in Oasis Springs across from the Landgraab Estate. As with all of my builds you’ll want to enable the “moveobjects” cheat before placing this lot in your game. I hope your Murky Sims have a fun time cooling off at this pool, and I can’t wait to find out what new and exciting mutations they develop.
Thanks to @Sim_Michele and @Brennachansims I present my first ever shell challenge, and you are all welcome to participate. Just follow the instructions above. You can find the Simpocalyptic Truck Shell link HERE.
This SimCorp Model 1401A Micro Caravan may have seen better days, and sure the patented “Roll Em’ Up” lawn and deck have long since rotted away, but at least the roof doesn’t leak. Well not much anyways. While probably not the most secure home for riding out the Simpocalypse, this trusty little caravan has all the comforts of home for a Murklander. At least what passes for comfort in Murkland.
When I created the Micro Caravan build and the Empy Shell for it, I fully intended to do a “Murkified” version, and this is it. You can find the Murky Micro Caravan in my SimDoughnut gallery (user id: simdoughnut). This NoCC Micro home sits on a 20x15 lot in Oasis Springs. As will all of my builds, you’ll want to enable the “moveobjects” cheat prior to placing this lot in your game. I hope you have lots of Murk fun with this build, and if you want to create your Micro Caravan be sure to grab the shell as well. I’d love to see what you come up with so if you furnish the shell be sure to tag me so I can see your creations.
Food. Food never changes. Since Sims first learned to use fire, and burn a grilled cheese sandwich, food has been a constant, and a calamity doesn’t change that. The Simpocalypse occurred pretty much as we had predicted, so no one was particularly surprised, Sure it’s a wasteland, but Sims still have to eat, and what better way to make barter currency than by feeding your fellow Murklanders? Keep on Food Truckin’!
A while back @Brennachansims had a vehicle “Murkspiration” Murky Motors build challenge that I missed during my hiatus, but she recently tweeted an inspiration pic of a post apocalyptic truck and well, then this happened. I love doing “Murky” builds, so this was right up my alley, and it’s a functional restaurant to boot if you have the Dine Out pack.
You can find the Simpocalyptic Food Truck in my Simdoughnut gallery (userid: simdoughnut). This NoCC Restaurant build sits on a 30x20 lot in Oasis Springs, but with a change of landscaping it could fit in anywhere, and work as a residence as well if you’d rather not have a restaurant. As with all my builds you’ll want to enable the “moveobjects” cheat prior to placing this lot in your game. I hope you have a murky good time with this build.
It’s the end of the line, a last refuge for old train cars and Sims who have survived the Great Simpocalypse. Sure it’s dirty, dingy, and run down, but then so are you, so don’t be such a snob. While you try to survive perhaps you can discover some clues to what caused this calamity in the first place.
I was watching a train speed-build video on YouTube the other day, and I was inspired to do my own train build, but with a Murky take on it. I had never attempted a train build before, but with all the great build stuff in Eco Living, and Journey to Batuu, it was a lot easier than I would have guessed. I’m only showing the exteriors in this build tour because I’d like you to discover the mysteries going on inside for yourself. (click on images for hi-res version)
You can find The End Of The Line train build in my SimDoughnut gallery (userid:simdoughnut). This NoCC Residential build sits on a 30x20 lot, and replaces the Caboose Bar in Evergreen Harbor. As with all of my builds you’ll want to enable the “moveobjects” cheat prior to placing this lot in your game. I hope you have as much fun with this build in your game as I did creating it.
In the grim dark future of the Simpocalypse there is only Farming. Farming never changes. SimCorp presents the model X1208-C Grim Harvester Battle Tractor, complete with our patented Napalm fueled de-weeding attachment to make clearing and plowing your fields even easier. Fire makes all the difference!
This morning @Sim_Michele and I were discussing builds, and she suggested I give the debug tractor the same treatment I gave the Mini Cooper, and create in her words, a “Battle Tractor”. I absolutely oved the idea so much I jumped right on it. This decor room is the result. You can find the “Grim Harvester” Battle Tractor room in my SimDoughnut gallery (user id: simdoughnut). Definitely will want “moveobjects” on before placing this room into your build. Happy Murky Farming!
Looking for a ride in the Simpocalypse, but you’re on a tight budget? Why not take this Mad Maxis Brand Mini Cooper for a test drive? Featuring Twin Fender Mounted Flamethrowers and a very pointy cattle pusher nothing is going to stand in your way. Best of all it only has 200,000 miles on it, and the oil pan only leaks a little.
This is something I’ve wanted to do ever since I first saw the mini cooper in the debug menu during a preview video. Now it’s finally in my game, and it can be in yours too. You can find The Mad Maxis Mini Cooper room in my SimDoughnut gallery (user id: simdoughnut). I hope you have a lot of fun exploring Murkland with it.
