Yuma Station Swim Club

Yuma Station was abandoned long before the Simpocalypse took place, but that doesn’t mean it’s not a great swimming hole. If you don’t mind a little bit of pollution, and maybe a teeny tiny dose of radiation, it’s a great place to cool off on a hot Summer day. Be sure to bring the kids. Who knows what cool new mutations they might pick up after taking a quick dip in the old tank car.

This is my entry for @Brennachansims #MurkyDaze  “Murkspiration” build challenge. Originally I was going to do a"murky” take on the old swim club I used to go to as a kid, but something about swimming in a tank car under a water tower just hit home with me. I’ll probably finish the other build at some point.

You can find the Yuma Station Swim Club in my SimDoughnut gallery (user id:simdoughnut).  This NoCC Pool venue sits on the 40x30 lot  in Oasis Springs across from the Landgraab Estate. As with all of my builds you’ll want to enable the “moveobjects” cheat before placing this lot in your game.  I hope your Murky Sims have a fun time cooling off at this pool, and I can’t wait to find out what new and exciting mutations they develop.

Have Fun :)!

Murky Micro Caravan

This SimCorp Model 1401A Micro Caravan may have seen better days, and sure the patented “Roll Em’ Up” lawn and deck have long since rotted away, but at least the roof doesn’t leak. Well not much anyways. While probably not the most secure home for riding out the Simpocalypse, this trusty little caravan has all the comforts of home for a Murklander. At least what passes for comfort in Murkland.

When I created the Micro Caravan build and the Empy Shell for it, I fully intended to do a “Murkified” version, and this is it. You can find the Murky Micro Caravan in my SimDoughnut gallery (user id: simdoughnut).  This NoCC Micro home sits on a 20x15 lot in Oasis Springs. As will all of my builds, you’ll want to enable the “moveobjects” cheat prior to placing this lot in your game.  I hope you have lots of Murk fun with this build, and if you want to create your Micro Caravan be sure to grab the shell as well.  I’d love to see what you come up with so if you furnish the shell be sure to tag me so I can see your creations.

Have Fun :)!

The Simpocalyptic Food Truck

Food. Food never changes. Since Sims first learned to use fire, and burn a grilled cheese sandwich, food has been a constant, and a calamity doesn’t change that. The Simpocalypse occurred pretty much as we had predicted, so no one was particularly surprised, Sure it’s a wasteland, but Sims still have to eat, and what better way to make barter currency than by feeding your fellow Murklanders? Keep on Food Truckin’!

A while back @Brennachansims had a vehicle “Murkspiration” Murky Motors build challenge that I missed during my hiatus, but she recently tweeted an inspiration pic of a post apocalyptic truck and well, then this happened. I love doing “Murky” builds, so this was right up my alley, and it’s a functional restaurant to boot if you have the Dine Out pack.

You can find the Simpocalyptic Food Truck in my Simdoughnut gallery (userid: simdoughnut).  This NoCC Restaurant build sits on a 30x20 lot in Oasis Springs, but with a change of  landscaping it could fit in anywhere, and work as a residence as well if you’d rather not have a restaurant.  As with all my builds you’ll want to enable the “moveobjects” cheat prior to placing this lot in your game.  I hope you have a murky good time with this build.

Have Fun :)!

N.Q.A.S. Micro Caravan

Using our patented N.Q.A.S. (Not Quite A Starter) technology, SimCorp presents you with our finest line of Micro Caravans. Sure it costs a bit more than your average starter home, but it comes standard equipped with our patent pending “Roll Em Up” lawn and deck feature, and we even threw in a free truck.  If you’re a retiree looking for a stylish way to tour the country  the N.Q.A.S. Micro Caravan has all you’ll ever need.

This morning while having my coffee I got it into my head to do my first micro residential build. Seeing as I’m all about wheels these days, I figured why not build a caravan? I had initially intended this to be a starter home, but well,  clutter happened. So it’s not quite a starter, but it’s still pretty cheap for me, coming in at only $32K with the lot included.

You can find the N.Q.A.S. Micro Caravan (yes, that is what I named it) build in my SimDoughnut gallery (userid: simdoughnut).  This NoCC Micro Home sits on a 20x15 lot in Oasis Springs.  As with all of my builds, you’ll want to enable the “moveobjects” cheat before placing this into your game.  I hope you enjoy the build as much as I did creating it this morning.

The End of the Line

It’s the end of the line, a last refuge for old train cars and Sims who have survived the Great Simpocalypse. Sure it’s dirty, dingy, and run down, but then so are you, so don’t be such a snob. While you try to survive perhaps you can discover some clues to what caused this calamity in the first place.

I was watching a train speed-build video on YouTube the other day, and I was inspired to do my own train build, but with a Murky take on it. I had never attempted a train build before, but with all the great build stuff in Eco Living, and Journey to Batuu, it was a lot easier than I would have guessed. I’m only showing the exteriors in this build tour because I’d like you to discover the mysteries going on inside for yourself. (click on images for hi-res version)

You can find The End Of The Line train build in my SimDoughnut gallery (userid:simdoughnut).  This NoCC Residential build sits on a 30x20 lot, and replaces the Caboose Bar in Evergreen Harbor.  As with all of my builds you’ll want to enable the “moveobjects” cheat prior to placing this lot in your game. I hope you have as much fun with this build in your game as I did creating it.

Gillisim’s Island

Five passengers set sail that day for a Three Hour Tour. A Three hour tour?   What I really want to know is why they packed everything they owned for just a three hour tour? I mean, I don’t think the boat was big enough, so no wonder it ran aground on a deserted isle.  Pretty sure no matter how brave and sure the Skipper was, this trip was doomed from the get go.

The other day I was deciding which build to do next, either an abandoned airport/Area 51, or this build, and popular opinion chose this build, so here it is. I had a lot of fun with this build, as well as the Sims I created to play test it.

You can find both the Castaways, and the Gillisim’s Island build in my Simdoughnut gallery (userid: simdoughnut).  This NoCC residential build sits on a 40x30 island lot in Sulani. As with most of my builds, you’ll want to enable the “move objects” cheat prior to placing this build in your game.  I hope you have as much fun with this build in your game as I did creating it.

Rambling Rose Revisited

This is a renovation and update of the very first build I ever shared to the gallery.  The original which you can see below was created and shared way back in September of 2014.

We’ve had a lot of packs since those days, and I’ve come a long way as a builder since those early days of the Sims 4. I’d like to think I’ve gotten a bit better over the years. Basically, for this renovation, I moved the build across the street from it’s original site, and then changed some walls, added a pool, basement, and garage, and upgraded the décor.

You can find the Rambling Rose Revisited home in my SimDoughnut gallery (userid: simdoughnut).  This NoCC residential home sits on a 40x30 lot in Willow Creek.  It’s a big sprawling country style home ideal for family play, and it’s pet friendly as well. As with all of my builds, you’ll want to enable the “move objects” cheat prior to placing this house in your game. I hope you have as much fun with this build in your game as I did creating it.

Little Timmy’s Bedroom (of Horror)

Little Timmy is back, and it looks like he’s made a new friend. Little Timmy’s new friend is very, very naughty, just like Little Timmy.  One almost has to wonder who summoned who?

This morning I created a quick room for @Ninnster’s Kid’s Room build challenge. It only seemed fitting that if I was going to build a kid’s room that I create a bedroom for Little Timmy. You can find Little Timmy’s Bedroom in my Simdoughnut gallery (user id:simdoughnut).  While this is a NoCC room, it does make heavy use of the TOOL mod, so you’ll want to be sure to enable the “move objects” cheat before placing it in your game.  While most of the vfx will work once you go into live mode, you will have to fill the fish bowl and activate the vfx machine in the closet if you want ash surrounding Timmy’s new summoned friend.

Billy Bonka Candy Factory (The Exteriors)

It’s been years since anyone from the outside world has been inside Billy Bonka’s Candy Factory, but recently 5 lucky Sims from around the globe have been invited to a private tour of the facility hosted by Billy Bonka himself. What wonders await within this whimsical world of wacky treats?

This month@Fildos, one of my favorite twitch streamers was holding a #fildosfactory build challenge. You had to either work with the shell he provided or come up with a factory build of your own. I had been working on a version of the Willy Wonka factory on and off for nearly five years, and while I initially intended to complete the build I’d started long ago, instead I came across a picture of a Charles and the Chocolate Factory themed amusement park ride, and well this was the result of that inspiration.

You can find the Billy Bonka Candy Factory in my SimDoughnut gallery (userid: simdoughnut). This NoCC residential build sits on a 50x50 lot in Willow Creek. As with most of my builds, I strongly recommend you enable the “move objects” cheat prior to placing this home in your game.  Also there are plenty of special effects to be activated if you want the full effect.  I’ll be posting some images of the interior of this build shortly.  I hope you have as much fun with this build in your game as I did creating it.

Have Fun :)!

Billy Bonka Candy Factory

Thought I’d share a WIP picture of my current build project alongside the photo that gave me the inspiration for this build.  I find sometimes having an image to inspire a build helps a lot.  Obviously I strayed fairly far from the original, partly because of the limitations of the Sims and available objects, but also to give it my own personal spin.

Still much to do. Lots of landscaping and furnishing to complete, but I hope to have the build done by early next week so I can move on to other projects.

Have Fun :)!

Sunday I began working on a tavern build for a Ninni monthly challenge, and today I decided that I needed to have a cow grazing on a grassy hill in front of it.  This is about midway into the build, and it’s still very much a work in progress, but for once I managed to take a decent screenshot, so figured I’d share it.

Some screenshots from the interior of the build.  There is a lot to see, and unfortunately hobbit holes are a bit cramped and don’t make for the best photo studios.  That and my screenshot game has always been a bit weak.  To really appreciate what is inside this hobbit home you really need to download the buld and explore it yourself.  Maybe grab the “They Might Be Hobbits” family to show you around the place.

In A Hole In The Ground   (The Exteriors)

In a hole in the ground there lived a Hillbo Hobbit. Not a traditional halfling, short in stature with big hairy feet, and easily mistaken for a child, because all Sims are 6’ tall and completely devoid of body hair, nor was he a skinny despondent giant halfling with nothing  to sit down on or to eat: for this is a Hillbo Hobbit-hole, and that means comfort, because Hillbo knows very well what Motherlode cheats can provide.

I’ve wanted to do my take on a hobbit hole build for quite some time, and now with the cottage living pack I felt I had all the tools to finally do one. It was a lot of fun both building and playing with my unusually tall “hobbits” (who you can also find on the gallery), and I was very pleased with how the final build turned out. I’ll share images of the interiors in a little bit. (click on images for hi-res version)

As with all of my builds you’ll want to enable the “moveobjects” cheat prior to placing this lot in your game. I hope you have a lot of fun exploring this build, as there is much to see and discover.

The Shortcut

Sometimes even the best made plans can be waylaid by a herd of grazing llamas.  Sure you thought you’d save time getting to your hotel by taking this old dirt road, but I guess the llamas had other ideas.  Stubborn things refuse to get out of the way.  Well at least you can enjoy the beautiful scenery and maybe a picnic until the llamas move on to greener pastures.

When @Sim_Michele first announced her Road Trip build challenge, she made mention that she hoped someone would do a car surrounded by Llamas when the new pack was released.  Well here is that concept visualized.  (click on images for hi-res version)

I tried making this a community lot, but it seemed the only way to care for the llamas was to make it residential, so I hid a small off the grid Shepherd’s Hut underground.  There are 9 animal sheds hidden on this lot near the rocks, the log, and under the car to achieve this effect.  All the animal sheds are fully functional, and your sim can interact with them as normal when you locate them.

You can can find The Shortcut in my SimDoughnut gallery (user id: simdoughnut).  This NoCC residence sits on the 30x20 lot by the waterfall in Henford-on Bagley.  As with all of my builds you’ll want to enable the “moveobjects” cheat prior to placing this lot into your game. I hope all the Llamas and bunnies bring you hours of joy.

Have Fun :)!

Ramshackle Farm

Sure the farm is a bit run down, and ragged at the edges,  but for a young family looking to try the country life, and live off the land, this is a great place to begin. Plenty of space for crops, a barn, greenhouse, and fully stocked pond, as well as a charming cottage to call home. What’s not to love? The countryside is calling, what are you waiting for?

This is the farm I created for my own personal gameplay. It features a custom barn, horse trailer, large gardening areas, chickens, two small ponds for fishing, and a a two bedroom  two bath cottage.  Three shrunken animal sheds are hidden in buckets in front of the barn and horse trailer, are fully functional, and will remain so as long as they and the buckets they are in are not moved.  (click on images for hi-res versions)

You can find Ramshackle Farm in my SimDoughnut gallery (user id:simdoughnut).  This NoCC Residential Farm sits on a 50x40 lot in Henford on Bagley and has the Simple Living lot trait challenge.  As with all of my builds you’ll want to enable to the “moveobjects” cheat prior to placing this lot into your game.  I hope you have a lot of fun living the simple life on this slightly run down farm.

Mister McGregsim’s Vegetable Farm

When Old Mister McGregsims retired to Henford on Bagley he thought he’d enjoy his twilight years raising a few chickens, and maybe some prize winning vegetables.  Then that wily rascal Peter Wabbit showed up in his little blue coat, and it’s been a never ending  battle of wits ever since. Like rabbits or not, this tiny farm is certainly rabbit friendly.

While working on a farm for my own gameplay I got this notion to try a super rabbit friendly farm using Beatrix Potter’s Peter Rabbit stories as my inspiration.  So here we have a tiny home, simple living, off the grid farm where Old Mister McGregsims (in my gallery) can attempt to raise his vegetables with the help and/or hindrance of Peter Wabbit. (click on images for hi-res version)

You can find Mister McGregsim’s Farm in my SimDoughnut gallery (user id: simdoughnut).  This NoCc Tiny Home sits on a 30x20 lot in Henford on Bagley, and has both the Off the Grid, and Simple Living lot trait challenges.  As with all of my builds you’ll want to enable the “moveobjects” cheat prior to placing this build in your game.  I hope you have fun with both Mister McGregsim, and his rabbit ridden farm.

Mad Maxis Mini Cooper

Looking for a ride in the Simpocalypse, but you’re on a tight budget? Why not take this Mad Maxis Brand Mini Cooper for a test drive? Featuring Twin Fender Mounted Flamethrowers and a very pointy cattle pusher nothing is going to stand in your way. Best of all it only has 200,000 miles on it, and the oil pan only leaks a little.

This is something I’ve wanted to do ever since I first saw the mini cooper in the debug menu during a preview video.  Now it’s finally in my game, and it can be in yours too.  You can find The Mad Maxis Mini Cooper room in my SimDoughnut gallery (user id: simdoughnut).  I hope you have a lot of fun exploring Murkland with it.

The Lucky Carp Noodle Stand

After a long day of Skiing, Snowboarding, Sledding, Rock Climbing, or Hiking in Mount Komorebi one is bound to have worked up a healthy appetite. For the best ramen in town you’ll want to stop by The Lucky Carp Noodle Stand.  Fresh Air, Great Food, and Reasonable Prices, what more could you possibly ask for?

Not sure why, but at about 7pm last night instead of cooking my supper like I should have, I got it into my head I need to build a Noodle Stand.  Nine and a half hours later, and I have an empty stomach, but Mount Komorebi has a restaurant.

You can find The Lucky Carp Noodle Stand in my SimDoughnut gallery (user id: simdoughnut).  This NoCC Restaurant sits on a 20x15 lot in Mount Komorebi. As with all of my builds you’ll want to enable the “moveobjects” cheat prior to placing this lot into your game.  I hope you have a lot of fun, and enjoy all the noodles this noodle stand has to offer.

Have Fun :)!
