The end of the Driveway garden! Since we got the Big Garden going we don’t need it like we did and can spend our days working in the backyard with the animal and woods around us rather than listening to traffic. The backyard is also fenced better and a nicer place for the Kiddo to play while I work.

After tearing up the old fence and moving all the rocks we’d placed at the base, Lieblings used a box blade behind the tractor to smooth it out. Now we have a lot more space for parking and whatnot. The box blade is a pretty handy implement for leveling the ground, we also used it to correct the bad ruts (some were a foot deep) that form in the spring melt.

I wanted to draw a tractor, and then I wanted to draw Aoyama and Yaoyorozu, so there it is. Maybe they picked up an interest in farming after graduating from UA?

Clothes are a great idea when you need protection from something - weather, hazardous materials, danger from injury from the activity, etc. But most activities can be done nude. For instance, beyond sunglasses, a hat, and sunscreen, nudists don’t need any sort of protection when gardening. Running a bushhog or a tractor can also be done nude.

What started off as a less than desirable day ended up victorious. Yesterday evening while moving the egg mobile out of pasture to clean and update the roosts, the bolt holding the tow arm snapped. Luckily the arm bent the bracket and managed to lodge itself such that it stayed connected to the tractor and did not go careening into the ravine. With the help of a big pipe wrench, a pipe clamp and my neighbor’s impact wrench I managed to get it back together “good enough”. Now the girls won’t have to sleep under the stars again. Collecting the eggs today was an Easter egg hunt since the nest box was in the coop.
