It is 5am and I just realized that I was feeling terrible because I had only drank a cup of coffee, ate two chocolate covered espresso beans, and then ate two or four pieces of garlic chicken nuggets the previous day.

If I ever seem arrogant or anything like that, please know I’m joking 100% I have zero self confidence and I sometimes pretend that I think im dead cool and awesome because I’m actually terrible so it’s mildly funny
I know AO3 has the “better” reputation over FFN, but honestly, that’s exactly why I stick with FFN. I consider myself a serious creative writer, just on the front of original works. I don’t want to feel like I have to stand at some Standard for writing fics. Fanfiction is fun diversion, so while I never intend to write crappy fanfic, FFN for me is the perfect pressure-free environment to post my most casual works in an area where I can say, “I wrote it and had fun.”
Was browsing movies in the library today and did a double-take, because I would have sworn I’d just seen a movie titled ‘Chtuhlmas.’ Doubly worrying since I was in the kids’ section at the time…
Me: No! No, brain! I am NOT writing that! That’s dark! Really dark! I don’t want to write that! It’s awful! I like Krillin - why would you even think of doing that to him?!
Brain: You wanna sleep tonight?
Me: …
Brain: Well, do you?
Me: …yes…
Brain: Then get a pen.

The Writer Experience™
Hogwarts was not the wizarding school that defined my childhood. Even if I had got on the wagon with the first book (which I didn’t*), it would have been a year too late for me, because my fancy had already been caught by Wizard’s Hall, from The Wizard’s Hall by Jane Yolen. It’s a slender little volume - my copy is only 133 pages - but it set my mind ablaze, was formative in shaping how I conceptualize ‘dark’ and ‘light’ vs ‘good’ and ‘evil,’ and for many summers after I read it, my friends and I attended the Wizard’s Hall as best we could from my backyard.
It’s strange to think that, these days, stories like mine probably aren’t really that common anymore. If a kid’s playing at going to a magic school, it’s probably Hogwarts. Not necessarily bad - I had the HP bug as bad as anyone by the end of it, though the fever has died down for me over the years - but it feels… a bit of a shame, really, that the other magical schools of literature seem to have lost some of their clout in the wake of all this.
*I didn’t start reading the series until book three was out**

I honestly don’t understand why so many people seem to have such an intense dislike/hatred for certain type fonts, and this is speaking as someone who is very visually-oriented and opinionated and tends to fall on the artsy side of the spectrum. I do not get why people dislike papyrus and comic sans. If they were some of the really hard-to-read fonts, yeah, that would make sense, but they’re not! Is this a generational thing? Was there something I missed somewhere?! I am so confused!!!

If I ever do an original comic, I’m going to include a Japanese character who generally wears traditional clothes, and I’m going to close their kimono the wrong way in every single panel it’s shown in, and continuously go ‘dammit, oops, sorry, I can’t believe I keep doing this, I’m such a stupid gajin’ every time someone points it out… right up until it’s revealed that this character has been a ghost the whole time. Because the reason the way you close your kimono is so important is that one way is for living people… and the other is for the dead and funerary rites.
Also this is Dusty, he’s the latest addition to the family <3

Still here, just occasionally floating in and out. Just wanted to let folks know who heard about the subway shooting in Brooklyn today that I’m fine.
Rundown on what this human trash has been up to in case anyone was wondering:
First off, my lord I am so sorry for being the flakiest blog owner. I’d say I had good reason but everyone is having a mental breakdown these days and still able to function properly so I can’t really use it as an excuse. But!!! Halloween is around the corner folks!! Do you feel the spoopy starting to run thicker through your veins? I sure do and I’ve been thoroughly annoying everyone around me by bringing up Halloween every five minutes. Okay, now me. Well, my hair is dyed, my eyebrows microbladed, my bank account crying, and my room is a total mess (best way to describe my current bedroom is tumblr threw up. Not even joking. I am human trash and now so is my room. Well not human but you get the point). I had a job for a little while, nannying, but they ended up getting off the wait list for a daycare, so no more job. But I did get first aid and CPR+AED training for that job, meaning I now have something useful to put on a resume. Last week my dog died and that was pretty hard to deal with because everyone told me she had until Christmas, so I wasn’t prepared at all for the news. I’m doing a little better now, but still having problems with randomly realizing she’s gone and then crying the rest of the day. I’ve started crafting/painting and baking again, it’s been a good distraction. I can’t really think of much else, I’m a pretty boring person lately in the big picture, but my ask box is always open for any questions, I’m going to try and get on here at least once a week because I miss all of you

I woke up and well, I did a few tasks =3 not a whole lot due to the dentist fact and I went out most the day. I did ended up watching the hypno video while I was hog tied. Being hog tied was fun the hypno video was more annoying then fun. The two voices fought each other and I just zoned out more times then I can remember. The dentist was painful, they fixed three teeth tho they wanted to fix more something about me not being able to open wider, I guess my mouth a bit small @@
After that I was out all day pretty much, had some fun at night. Sent out a few pics for my modeling dare (tho no one giving me any besides the ones I have already)
I do really need to work on some projects so I will do that today, hopefully someone will give me a few tasks to do too =3 I can dream!!! LOL
Self tied, not that easy when you can’t look what you are doing at the back
