First litter of the year dropped last night! Pairing was my Hypo Arabesque het Kahl dam (Samba) x Jungle het Kahl sire (Dozo). Very cute litter of nine live (one slug).
Man hard to believe this girl is gonna be three years old this year. They grow up so fast!

She’s 7 years old this year, and well over 6 ft long (which is larger than average for this species). And she’s a real sweetheart these days, which is also not very typical for this species, haha.
Gonyosoma oxycephalum / Red-tailed green rat snake
Picked up 2.2 pure Barranquilla Colombians from my buddy Daniel at Animalia. I’ve wanted this locality for forever, so I’m super excited to raise this group up! These are all F1 CBB yearlings, born from imported parents.
Left are the males (siblings from a high Red pairing)
Right are the females (Top from a polygenic/unproven “IMG”-ish female x high Gold male; Bottom from a high Red x ‘regular’ female)
Two new kids have joined the colubrid party! A 1.1 pair of CH Gonyosoma oxycephalum hatchlings, Java locality. They’re sooo cute, and so far been super easy to work with (gobbling ft, not biting the bejeezus out of my fingers, etc.), which is a nice change from my other gonyos lol.

Finally took some photos of the newest kid to join the family! This lovely little pink boy was produced by Charles Boas. Dam was the infamous Sparkle Santa (Florida Redtails x Joe M) and Sire was the lovely orange StringBean (Tudehope x Miller).

I feel like she has resting “sick of your shit”-face. She is a sweetheart though - or at least, she’s a sweetheart when she’s not trying to eat anything she can reach ahaha.

Ugh this lady is still one of my absolute favorite snakes. She’s getting huge too - she’s over 6 ft now!

Man, I was really hoping this lady was gravid, but alas… Her due date came and went, and then she had a shed, and I see zero evidence that there is (or was) anything in there. Oh well, I’m just thankful she’s healthy - we can always try again next year!
