Suddenly the real Haligoonie sprung out at us from behind the trees. The beast tore us to pieces. Destroyed by my own creation. A likely demise.

These are the Tanssija!
They are sentient and quite religious. They wear jewelry and masks based on their occupations (for example hunters wear a certain type of masks, priests wear another type of masks etc.)
They’re skilled hunters, thin and graceful, fast and quite strong, although most of their strength comes from their large numbers. They would be pretty friendly and accepting, they’re welcoming to all peaceful travellers since their religion promotes love and peace.
Their brains are very developed, with their limbic system either increased in size or altered which grants them telepathy.
They’re found on all kinds of terrain, but they prefer a warm climate. Jungles, plains and savannas are their favorites. Due to sharing territory with the Thebrus (will post about them too), run-ins with the beasts were inevitable but the Tanssija managed to tame and even domesticate some of them.
