So it took me more than a week to discover that the “七夕”-event on UtaPri island was for Tanabata, because I noticed the same set of kanji on a star-themed box of Koala chocolate cookies and decided it was worth looking up. And I was immediately inspired to scribble something in style of the most Japanese game I know: Okami.
Or at least I tried to, from memory… and that also implies that there are some mistakes in the clothing. Asmkdmkjmkfre.This is the digital version of a pencil sketch I made while on holiday.

Notes: Ren’s birthday is 2/14, but he doesn’t like sweets. In a more irresponsible vein, I forgot that the official romanization was ‘Syo,’ when I was typesetting and don’t feel like fixing it.

EdoPri!Tokiya is still the best AU Tokiya design in my opinion. It’s been so long since I drew EdoPri!Haruka so I gave her design a little update too. I originally based it on Hakuouki’s Sen, and I did so again for this one.
Speaking of Hakuouki, UtaPri could learn a thing or two from them about including their heroine more… They’ve really made the switch from Otome series to Idol series and that’s a real shame (I actually really like Haruka).
