LIVE

This month I have immersed myself in Nature more that I may ever have before. Or perhaps being able to film special little moments just keeps my memory fresh. It was joy to edit and reminisce on the month gone by. Despite a rough start with lots of rain and hail, Nature continued to push on all throughout May. New plants were sprouting everywhere. I foraged some spruce tips and lilac to make my own botanical gin. Finally, we were able to see lots of bluebells and observe tadpoles and other wildlife. One glorious morning we caught the morning fog and had a magical, atmospheric forest walk. Summer now has truly begun and I am looking forward to capturing more special moments. I hope you enjoy the video!

At the beginning of February we had 3 days of snowfall, which accumulated into at least 1 foot of snow. We struggled to get around with our car, but everything looked magical for a whole while. Then in the middle of February the weather turned mild and the snow started melting. Due to the high level of snow and the fast melt there was more flooding than usual and the River Tay next to the City of Perth, where we live, grew to over twice its size. I also show you the floodgates, which protect Perth, which historically has been flooded multiple times. Enjoy!

Also here is a little side by side comparison of snow vs flood:

Back in December I couldn’t wait for the snow to come and come it did and plenty of it in January. Unfortunately, where people walk, snow turns to ice and quite a bit of time was spend trying not to fall. But luckily, we had periods where the snow melted away and made space for fresh snow to fall to start the cycle all over. This video is a collection of my favourite moments in nature and enjoying the snow throughout January. However, I also felt like I was lacking in energy overall and I hope that February will bring a lot more exploration. I’m happy and grateful to have access to this beautiful scenery and I hope you enjoy it too!
