LIVE

This week Jess and I travel to the sisters mountains near Bend, Oregon. We also check out skylight cave and proxy falls before heading to the coast for our anniversary.

In the summer, Juls and I had the chance to explore Yosemite National Park along with a few friends. Though we only had a few days, we made the most of every minute going on adventurous hikes, walking alongside beautiful deer, driving through the windy roads, enjoying an amazing philly cheese steak and we were lucky enough to stay at a gorgeous house right in Yosemite.

We loved it so much that the moment we left we already had a yearning to come back even though we still had a 3 month adventure ahead of us across europe, and so we did in the winter of 2016.

This is summer.

This Tumblr page has been…

The only place where I’ve been able to be who I am. The me behind the forced smile. The me who truly expresses myself and takes time to figure out how I feel. Ngl, sometimes realizing this makes me sad. Other times, it makes me so happy to see how many people have decided to follow this page that I on the spur of the moment decided to create one day. Desperate to see if anyone else felt as alone. If anyone else was as confused about why they were so different…We were made to be different.

We are the healers. We aren’t 1 percent to be like everyone else. We are the shamans and sages that live at the top of the mountain, where all the village people come to with the questions they know only a wise person will carry and openly share. Higher perspective. In this modern day, technology fueled world, this has just turned into people texting you for advice, consistently dumping and venting onto you, and only talking to you to receive what they need.

It doesn’t feel as good as it probably did back then, when a sage would sit in a cave at the top of a tree filled mountain. Where you could feel the breeze, listen to the silence, find joy in the sound of a singing bird, and hear your own voice and feelings enough to know that they matter just as much. It was probably exciting to see someone taking form upon the hill. Someone who was willing to walk up the mountain to receive your advice, and even more, valued it enough to work their way to it.

Its officially been 2 months since I broke down and just packed up my car and left without telling any of my family. I have been living out of my car, just traveling. Recording my experiences on YT. Life is so blissful from this moving mountain I now travel in. No contact, no dumping, no drain. Just PEACE. It does exist.

Thank you for supporting this page. Essentially validating that my emotions exist. I would love for you peek into my travels on YT. A collective I would be happy to live chat with and comment to on my videos. This INFJ is working hard to get to 1k. There are 5k following here so I’m hopeful if you’re the one who’s made it to the end of this post that you’ll be excited to follow me there like it led you to here.

I’m forcing myself to be brave and not be afraid, to ask for help, and show myself and travels. I hope it inspires you to do whatever protects your peace and fills your heart. If you do subscribe, please let me know so I can extend a personal thank you. From one INFJ to you. Possibly someone like me, who went on tumblr trying to find relation and understanding. Protect your energy. Protect your peace. I’ll always support you, I hope you’ll support me. Peace and Love

Join us as we explore Albania’s lesser-known alpine town in the foothills of the famous Accursed Mountains- otherwise known as the Albanian Alps.⁣

In this episode we explore what the town of Puka (Pukë) is all about. One of the highest towns in Albania, there is plenty of breathtaking scenery to absorb, with the Albanian Alps serving as a perfect backdrop to the newly renovated town centre.

Despite its small population, there’s tons to see and do as we highlight by meeting two local guides and budding hoteliers. We explore the stunning surrounding area before meeting with international charity 1 More Tree. Here we learn the importance of sustainable tree planting in areas such as these as well as learning of the devastating effects of an invasive caterpillar species that is plighting Albania.⁣

From here we meet up with Marie Shkjau, owner of Devin Agrotourism farm in the village of Qerret I Madh. Here we discover how traditional living and rural life can be combined with tourism to create a very special experience for anyone lucky enough to venture to this corner of Albania. We sample some local organic cuisine and preserves, and of course some rakia!⁣

If exploring the North of Albania excites you as much as it does us then check out our friends’ page @northexperience_al.⁣

In this episode we’re back in Albania! It’s been two years since our last visit to this incredible country and we’ve got plenty of exciting adventures awaiting us here. ⁣

We reluctantly left Macedonia, a country that left a permanent imprint on our lives. A country with beautiful rugged mountains and miles of unspoiled nature. A country with the most hospitable and welcoming people we’d encountered. ⁣

However, we were excited too, because Albania had also left these same imprints on our memories from our previous visit there two years ago. ⁣

In this episode we cross the border and arrive at a historic city in the South East of Albania; Korcë. We delve in to local byrek, known to be the best in the country, visit the Old Bazaar and discover a natural beauty spot on the edges of Lake Prespa which requires an incredible off-road drive to get to it. This is not to be missed!⁣

Will the old LDV be up to it? And will Albania live up to our expectations from our first visit?⁣

Join in as we drive through Glen Clova, go up to have a look at Dun Mor Hillfort (and get a spectacular view from there) and then take the forest path up to Corrie Fee, a high-up valley shaped by glaciers a long time ago. I brought my drone for some scenic footage. I hope you enjoy!

Come along for a walk up Ben Vorlich, a Munro on the Western egde of Perthshire, and a drive along the beautiful Loch Earn! I even dragged my drone up the mountain just so I could show you some beautiful footage ;). Ben Vorlich is 985 meters or 3232 feet high and has great views over both the Scottish Highlands and the Lowlands. A big recommendation for anybody who is doing a road trip around Scotland. Enjoy!

Come along with us, exploring along the coast of Fife (Scotland)! We started of in the picturesque village of St Monans and walked to Elie, which is just over 2 miles away. On the way we explored ruined castles and found lots of Scottish coastal wildlife, including seals, sea anemones and hermit crabs. Enjoy!

April was a strange month, a bit up and down, internally and externally. Nevertheless, I managed to experience lots of beautiful places and situations. Among other things we finally went up Mount Blair, a mountain I had my eyes on for years. The theme for April is change and resisting it, just like the weather was bouncing between Summer and Winter. I used my acoustic guitar for a change, so I hope you enjoy the music and of course the video.

We visited the Pictish Iron Age-style hillfort ‘Castle Law’ near Forgandenny. It’s walls at the top were cleared by Victorian archaeologists and remain very distinct and visible to this day. So we were really intrigued and wanted to come for a visit and a hillfort tour. There was a lot to see and being able to get a bird’s-eye perspective with the drone was priceless. I hope you will enjoy it as much as we have!

The entirety of March was a slow beginning to Spring, with some days being sunny and warm and others rainy and cold. I’ve documented my favourite signs of Spring. Towards the end of March was my birthday and seeing as I could not travel anywhere to celebrate, I opted to do the exact thing as the previous year: We went to one of my favourite remote places, Loch Ordie. I also tried out a new piece of equipment that I was able to purchase with my birthday money. So far it has been worth every pound I paid for it. There is plenty of Nature scenes in this Vlog, so I hope you will find it relaxing! Enjoy!

We visited two Iron Age hillforts near Newburgh, Fife: Norman’s Law, un-excavated, but well-preserved in its features; and Glenduckie Hill, excavated, but overgrown with plants that conceal its features. They couldn’t be any more different. We discuss the appearance and history of the hillforts in this video. I also used a drone to get a bird’s eye perspective. So come and explore these hillforts with us!

We returned to Ben Vrackie in February, when it was completely covered with a thick blanket of snow. I came prepared for any potential conditions (for a good weather day anyway), with ice spikes in case it was very icy, gaiters to keep out the snow etc. It took about 4h to get up to the top, starting from the car park, wading through deep snow, facing burning cold wind right at the top, where everything was frozen. The fun part was to walk down the snow on the way back. It took 30 minutes to cover the same distance I covered in 3h on the way up. I enjoyed myself very much and I hope you also enjoy!

Back in December I couldn’t wait for the snow to come and come it did and plenty of it in January. Unfortunately, where people walk, snow turns to ice and quite a bit of time was spend trying not to fall. But luckily, we had periods where the snow melted away and made space for fresh snow to fall to start the cycle all over. This video is a collection of my favourite moments in nature and enjoying the snow throughout January. However, I also felt like I was lacking in energy overall and I hope that February will bring a lot more exploration. I’m happy and grateful to have access to this beautiful scenery and I hope you enjoy it too!
