While we settle in to our new digs in Portugal I will return to posting more often and documenting the patch on which I am now working. We are seduced by particularly mild summer days to just staring out across the disheveled garden and watching cats but there are a stack of review books to work through and much editing that needs doing.

We have been waiting now two months for the arrival of Folkwitch 3 from the printers in the UK. Inquiries have been made but so far no word from customs. I can’t imagine what it will be like using a UK printer when the UK is finally out of the EU.

But as soon as we have them they will begin to ship out and afterward we will announce the lineup of Folkwitch 4 and open preorders. In the meantime we have sold about three quarters of the next issue of the Skeptical Occultist Journal (5) in preorders. Those will begin shipping in mid October. 200ish pages, in full colour and packed with book reviews, interviews and the rants and ravings of this old wizard.

As well, my book “Wormwood’s Gramarye of Profanities, Vulgarities, & Diverse Blasphemies” is currently available from Alkahest Press for preorder. Copies will begin shipping sometime in late September. It is a collection of various spells, charms, and hexes I have published over the years.

The summer is in full swing and while a handful of clouds are on the horizon there is much to look forward to. Sometime in the next few weeks we will make the announcement for another upcoming release on Alkahest Press and a possible public appearance in the not distant future.

A digital illustration of an elven woman, Orla, who has dark grey skin and long, silver hair. She is stood in an active stance, as though mid-combat, and looking up with mild apprehension. She is holding a wooden quarterstaff in front of her, while the other hand readies a spell represented by a skeletal hand. She is wearing a carved metal chest plate over a white blouse and heavily layered skirts. Her right lower leg is formed of a rough, wooden prosthetic claw. Drawn by DrewPicturesAniALT

Another dnd party birthday piece, featuring the lovely Orla, our sorcerer/monk.

“Eschaton” Fan Art (… Kinda? Is it still considered fan art if you designed the character originally?)

Shring the Artist.

Acrylic and gouache on illo board.

7″ x 9″

A quick and easy illustration to help me break out of an art block, based on my interpretation of a Magic card generated by a computer. This was a lot of fun.

Reiko Himezono, a teenage “zombie shop”, or a “…necromancer-for-hire employed by bereaved families to resurrect departed loved ones for a short time so that the dead may impart their final truths to the living.”

There were no problems doing it in IMVU :D
