“A Court of Silver Flames” Since there’s finally a title, here’s Nesta Archeron in the Illyrian Mountains. I’ve seen a few headcanons about Nesta cutting her hair in the next book and I really like them so I decided to draw her with short hair.
when i tell you i see RED whenever i remember the way nesta was completely convinced she didn’t ‘deserve’ cassian.
ma’am, he is a literal MAN CHILD. he threw a full temper tantrum when you rejected his solstice gift (which you had every right to do btw you don’t owe it to him to take his pity gifts ✋) and yeeted it in the sidra like a toddler throwing a toy at the wall when their mom says it’s time to tidy up and go to bed. he makes it a point to tease you for your choice of reading material because he’s so immature that the thought of reading smut makes him crack up like a ninth grader hearing the word “erection” for the first time in a sex ed class. he couldn’t even stomach the sight of you dancing with another man when it was literally just part of an established plan because he’s as possessive as a kid that doesn’t want to let their friend have any other friends out of fear that they’ll ditch them for the others.
AND I JUST KNOW FOR A FUCKING FACT THAT THIS MAN’S HAIR IS GREASY ASF. I JUST KNOW IT. I FEEL IT IN MY BONES. THAT’S GOTTA BE WHY HIS SIGNATURE LOOK IS THE MAN BUN. TO HIDE ALL THAT HAIR OIL. YOU CANNOT TELL ME I’M WRONG.

for fun, i started doing character designs from sarah maas’s a court of thorns and roses series. i love doing book character designs and the descriptions in this series inspired me! i’m working on the other different high lords and their entourages now as well
In an au where Nessian are next door neighbors I just feel that they’d live in an apartment where one is below the other instead of side by side. I also think that Cassian would be the one with a big dog who barks at the wind and the one who walks like an elephant at all hours, everyday, and that Nesta would be the one with a quiet cat and the person who’s hitting a broom on the ceiling in an effort to make her upstairs neighbor quiet.
Lucien turned quickly towards her. “I thought you couldn’t see Nesta?”
Elain smiled indulgently, moving behind her mate to rest her hands on his shoulders.
“Sometimes, my love, I am speaking my own opinion rather than a vision of the future.” Lucien raised his hands to cover hers, spinning around and pressing his nose against hers quickly before pulling back to appreciate her smug little grin.
“They tried to kidnap me,” Feyre scoffed. “I want to see you burn their shields to the ground and show them what it feels like to be standing unprotected in an open field.”
“What happened to I’m fine, reallyandhe said he didn’t want to hurt me.”
“Temporary bout of insanity brought on by a new and intriguing power,” Feyre waved her hand. “I thought I needed the male to understand the power. I don’t.” Feyre looked up at her sister, nodded her towards the shield. “We have everything we need to master this power right here. We always have.”
Seeing an anti-Nessian post is an exercise of emotional labour because I have to decipher what kind of anti it is:
1. Supreme Nesta stan who has been beaten down and made bitter to all canon because of whatever tf was going on with Cassian in 80% of ACOSF (both understandable and now I’ve found a new best friend)
Or
2. IC stan who hates Nesta and always has and is on some shit about her not deserving Cassian or how she should be in jail or something idk (insane and requiring me to utilize the block button)
I’m reading back some of my own one-shots because I’m bored and hey that is content that was literally made for me so why not.
But ya’ll I am really not ok with some of these.
I really just be out here word vomiting onto a notes app and sending that shit into the world.
Like I really wrote THIS:
“Uh oh,” Nesta drawled, nodding at the dealer to hit her again. An 8. Damn, that put her at 23. Oh well, not like it was her money anyway. “Looks like dad’s here to shut down the party.”
A few choked snickers erupted around the table. Subdued sounds that would have been outright cackling if the man she was mocking wasn’t so… large and murder facey.
Cassian rolled his eyes, “Of all the ways I imagined you calling me daddy, I gotta say, this establishment never served as the setting.”
“My dad is dead so that’s a pretty weird kink to choose, general.”
“I actually wasn’t surprised,” Lucien shrugged. “When Elain told me.” Lucien looked up, “you know, because Nesta told her as soon as you both returned last night. Because they are sisters and share information.”
“It didn’t seem pertinent,” Eris grit through his teeth.
