As much as I’m excited for the new movie “Klaus”, there’s just something about Alva’s character design that doesn’t sit right with me; particularly her facial features.
Compared to the rest of the characters? Her face looks way too simple and doesn’t stand out all that much, giving her that typical “doll face” treatment that a lot of female characters often get (especially when they’re leads or love interests). (That tiny nose and pointy chin? Meh. Could’ve gone with something else.) And yes I do notice plenty of female background characters in this same movie that has a variety of designs and that’s great! I just wish that maybe a little bit of that would be given to Alva.
Sorry I haven’t posted any new art recently. I’m still working on my Percy Jackson comics, but I really wanted to finish this before Christmas. Without a doubt, Netflix’s Klaus is my favorite holiday movie this year! So I just had to draw something while also incorporating my love for Pokémon.
