1) drawing - quickly done because…
2) the waves were coming
3) looks deceptive, a nice bit of beach
(zoom in and you’ll note surfers out at the breakers)
4) a few quick pieces up, looking for more
5) and then… 6) maybe five feet dry behind me
7) hey, look, a rock to build on

very high tides just now on the coast, 9.2 ft high tide slated for two hours AFTER these pictures were taken - no beach at all to stand on by then, logs are being pushed up against the cliff face.

Day 2: Where?
I am happy to call my home the Pacific Northwest! My family moved to Albany, Oregon 3 years ago after living in Eugene for more than 10 years. We are blessed to live close to family, and we have grown even closer to them since moving back!
As much as I complain about the amount of rain we get, I DO love living in Oregon, and getting to experience all the seasons so richly.
Whether you want to visit the ocean, r the mountains, it’s all only a few hours away! (I kind of feel like I’m writing a Tripadvisor review now ).
☔ I’ll end with an Oregonian saying that everyone says, “If you don’t like the weather, wait 5 minutes.”
P.S - Its pronounced “ore-gun” not “ore-E-gone”.
I look forward to searching the other #MeetTheMaker posts this month and seeing where you all hail from!
