Sometime in late July 2015, two new Orca were captured in the Okhotsk Sea in Russia. These two whales were captured by TINRO, the Russian Pacific Scientific Research Fisheries Center based in Vladivostok, Russia.

In December 2015, it was confirmed that Chimelong Ocean Kingdom in China had imported a total of 9 Orca to their park between 2013 and 2015; two in 2013, five in 2014, and two in 2015.

There is still very little that is known about these captives.

Sometime in October 2013, three more Orca were captured near Sakhalin Island in Russia. Only two are known to be currently in captivity - it is unknown what happened to the third, or if there was ever a third whale.

One of the whales, a young male named Nord, was sent to the Moscow Dolphinarium & Aquarium with the female known as Narnia in December 2013.

Today, very little is known about the second whale and it is unclear if they are still in Russia, or have been moved to China.

Sometime in September 2013, a group of about 3 Orca were captured. They were transferred to the Adaptation Center in Livadia near Nakhodka, Russia where they met Narnia, a female captured in 2012.

The new captives refused to eat, but were eventually coaxed into it when Narnia began offering them her fish. Narnia remained with the new whales until she and a young male were transferred to the Moscow Dolphinarium & Aquarium in December 2013.

Today, this females location is unknown. Some believe she could be in Russia, or that she may be in China with the two young whales she was captured with. No other information has been made public, nor are the whales on public display.

On September 26, 2003, a group of around 30 whales were netted in Avacha Gulf, just off the southwest coast of Kamchatka, Russia. These were the very first whales netted in Russian waters.

Only one female was kept, while another female became extremely distressed, tried to escape, but drowned after becoming entangled in the nets. A second whale of unknown gender also became tangled in the nets, but it is unknown if this whale survived.

The unnamed female was kept in a sea pen for a number of days until she was transferred to the Utrish Dolphinarium on October 5, 2003.

Unfortunately, on October 19, 2003, the female died due to Bacterial Pneumonia after just 13 days in captivity. She also appeared to have suffered from Focal Fibrosis, Bullous Emphysema, and Cardiac Amyloidosis.

On May 27, 1998, Icelandic female Nootka V gave birth to her fourth calf, a female sired by Kandu VII, at Marineland Ontario in King Waldorf Theatre.

The calf met it’s full sister Neocia and seemed to be doing well. All of the other whales had already been moved to the new tank, Friendship Cove. Nootka V, her calf, and Neocia were set to be moved to Friendship Cove after the end of the summer season.

Unfortunately, the calf died on June 7, 1998 due to unknown causes at only 11 days old.

On February 9, 1997, a group of ten Orcas were captured in Hatajiri Bay in Japan. While five of the whales were released, two males and three females were kept.

One unnamed female, who was thought to be pregnant due to her size, was sent to Nanki Shirahama Adventure World with both males - one unnamed, and the other known as Kyu.

The park already owned 3 Orcas who were apparently very curious about the newcomers.

In April 1997, the female allegedly suffered a miscarriage, though there are no credible sources to confirm this.

Finally, on June 17, 1997, the female died due to Bronchopneumonia after only 4 months in captivity. She died just 3 days after the unnamed male.
