Today is a day where I can’t decide if I love writing or hate it. I’m super stuck and frustrated. I love parts of what I’ve written, and I need to connect them together so they flow into a coherent whole. There’s a rhythm to this sort of thing, a buildup of tension. If I throw in a dynamic scene too soon, it loses some of its impact. But everything I try to come up with to build a bridge to that scene is coming out forced, or rushed, or boring. I probably need to take a break and  do some reading or something.

#this donnie pov piece is much much harder than i expected    #in the wind and wind shear were easy by comparison    #partly its that im having a hard time with third person    #first person is way more natural to me    #also heres the thing    #so in a sense we know how this ends    #which makes it harder to build tension    #not impossible    #but im not sure if i have the skill
