#not languages

LIVE

Hello new Tumblr peeps!

As you may have noticed there are a lot of new people coming to tumblr and some old friends are coming back. (I actually saw 2 people who hadn’t been here in 6 years post yesterday! Amazing!)

So if you are new maybe you don’t know why you aren’t getting followers or engagement. Let’s talk about tags!

For language learning blogs you want to use the following tags on your posts:

  • Langblr
  • (Xyz language) langblr ex. Japanese langblr
  • Polygot
  • Learn xyz language ex. Learn Japanese
  • Xyz language grammar/vocabulary/etc.

Don’t tag things with your blog name.

Be patient. Sometimes people put posts in their queue and it can be a few weeks before it posts on their blog.

Look at the tags on blogs you like. You can use those tags.

Yes tumblr has a method of talking in the tags. Only do that on reblogs unless you don’t care about who sees it.

I don’t really understand how one can get a 97.8% in a class and barely get an A-.

Whatever. I’m done and have a 3.65 GPA.

I’m never doing graduate school again.

Hola a todas! Gracias!

1. What languages are you/have you studied?

He estudiado español, árabe, húngaro, francés, noruego, hebreo, portuguesa, rumano, y alemán.

2. How long have you been studying?

3. Did you learn through class, self-study, or both?

4. Why did you decide to learn this language?

5. What was a major highlight/milestone in studying this language?

6. What was the hardest thing about studying this language?

7. What resources did you find most useful for studying this language?

¯\_(ツ)_/¯ los clases? No sé jaja

8. Any top tips for studying this language?

9. What’s your next major language goal?

10. Anything we can do in the Tumblr community to get you there?

nordic-language-love:

I’ve bought some more glitter felt so I can make more tiny squishy fun things to use in my kids’ classes (I already have a gold and a rose gold star, so I’m gonna make a silver star, a smiley face, a pink heart, a red heart and maybe a bunny if I’m feeling ambitious). Planning to do this while listening to Norwegian/Japanese podcasts/radio, which will be nice because normally I listen to podcasts/the radio while I’m driving/cooking/washing up/gardening and I can’t stop to write things down. Hopefully doing something creative and working with my hands that is actually productive will be good for me!

The aforementioned stars (nobody asked but i’m sharing anyway)
