Hi everyone! @bionic-jedi here, I ran Nuts and Dolts Week last year. Unfortunately, I don’t think I’m going to have the time or energy to run the week this year, so instead, Nuts and Dolts Week will be run by @im-the-king-of-the-ocean in 2022! If that name sounds familiar, that’s because they drew amazing banner art for each of the prompts for the week last year–8 in total! And, just to be clear, they drew all those for free. They also have experience running other shipweeks in different fandoms. I’m super excited to see what they do with Nuts and Dolts Week this year!

there was a little story behind this: basically Ruby here lost Zwei during the holiday season (sad) and it was already nearing Christmas Eve and she still hadn’t found him so she put out “Missing” posters and guess what – Miss Penny Polendina here found her lost dog after all, cared for in the course of the whole week he was missing. Penny ofc called up Ruby to say she has Zwei and she could come over her house to pick him up. Ruby rushes to said house (despite warnings from her fam that she may have been prank-called or even worse) but she loved Zwei too much and now she has found another someone to love lmao
Penny’s cat is named Figaro (as recommended by my twinnie Kyuubicore lskdjfsdf)

After posting that other picture yesterday, I drew a few more based around the same idea. A pair of brainwashing and mind-control victims, looking after each other and wrestling back their autonomy from an immortal witch together. It’s sweet and sad. My favourite.
And to the person who responded to the other drawing wanting to read a fic about it all I have to say is, in the words of Mr. Incredible: “Me too, kid.”
I also have one more picture of what I think Ruby’s hood might look like when up. The skull doesn’t exist when down because the outfit isn’t actually an outfit, it’s Hound Ruby shapeshifting into something from her recent memories.
I did some more drawings for this au. I’ve started calling it the HackHound au because I think it’s going to stick around and I needed a shorter name than “Hacked Penny/Hound Ruby.”
Salem knows of course, that Cinder wants all of the Maiden powers but Penny as she is is uniquely useful to keep around. Also putting all of those powers into one person feels to me like a bad idea. Don’t put all your eggs in one basket. What’ll you do when Cinder dies? Lose all four Maidens at once? Still, Cinder has dibs on the powers when they’re done with Penny though.
And for the second drawing… Ruby is covered in grimm goo. There really isn’t much else to say about it.
