Made a casual knitted one piece and a simple black leather bag for Draculaura! Socks are really useful for dolls knitted wear ! Causal look is cute, although it is really different from her usual casual ^^

I really really love her sculpt because she is just so cute!!!!!

Went to a carnival with @oki-doll and Dare ( insta: sakuraplush) !

We just went there to have a mini carnival shoot, it’s almost impossible to do a shoot for many dolls at the carnival so ya mini shoot that consist of a doll or 2 would be good enough~

I hadn’t have time to make new carnival themed clothes, so I dressed my MH repainted Draculaura for the carnival ^^!

I think she looks super adorable with that puffy hair, but I would be removing them all and customising her into something else as…her hair is just too sticky >.< the gel is irritating me to much!!! In addition, I kindda ruined her face up with improper storage 8,)

Here is my recreation of Girl with a Pearl Earring. This was an assignment I did for my photography course and I have to say I’m pretty proud of it. The fact that there is minimal editing too makes me even more proud. (The task was that we had to edit - just for those who don’t like the extra details). I used my Belle from Beauty and the Beast doll and I think she did a great job. I had also taken photos using a Draculaura but that didn’t work as well as this Cleo. I’m liking that I feel like I’m finally learning something that I can see.

Creating content is difficult. To reroot one doll, takes me 4-6 hours. I can’t seem to keep up with the 30 second reels and videos. How do others do it, it’s driving me insane. My work takes house yet I shrink it to 30 seconds. How am I supposed to show you guys good stuff when I can’t work that fast?! Never mind knowing how to actually edit videos. I’m feeling a bit overwhelmed and under so much pressure. So here is to half a reroot and three more to go

These are the photos that I took from the set up. Even though they are similar photos the lighting is different as I used a reflector. I took about 150 photos, going through them was difficult because the lighting changes everything. It can soften the photo, brighten it or add a bit of mood to it. For the last image I decided to add some drops of water too. Next I will be photoshopping the image to fix it a little more.

I have been taking a photography course for a while now. I was happy with my photography for a while, but I knew I wasn’t using my camera properly. I have established a specific design aspect when it comes to showing my dolls. But I always felt like something was lacking. That’s why I decided to do a course. Up until now I have avoided taking photos of my dolls. I was so stuck in my way, but this most recent assignment I decided to get out of my comfort zone and take photos of my dolls. It was a struggle for me. I didn’t know what I wanted to see or how I wanted to take it. But this was my set up. I used the studio at school with some of their equipment.

Hel - I was really inspired to create this doll. There was something about her that was just calling me. I don’t find her evil because she rules the underworld, I find her powerful. I did something a little different with these photos. I’ve been studying a photography course fo about six months now. For the first time I used a doll as my subject during my course. It was a challenge for me because I have established a brand with my photos. It was difficult to break, but I finally have. Since both these dolls have a little darkness to them I wanted to be able to add that drama to the photos I think I’ve managed to achieve that. It’s always important to keep trying and working on improving your skills. You never know what you can do unless you try!

Periwinkle - can’t have Tink without her sister! I think I learned with this one that I didn’t need to reroot with so much yarn. This was before I realized I could untwist the yarn and reroot thinner pieces. I learned a lot by trial and error. It’s so much easier untwisting the pieces, rerooting and then brushing. Brushing the yarn while it’s still twisted after a reroot takes a lot of effort. Since her hair was short I didn’t mind the amount of volume, but less would have worked just as well.

Terrence - my first boy doll to repaint. This was a major challenge for me. I have hand tremors, so working on fine lines is a huge challenge for me. Making a line steady makes my anxiety hit the roof. That’s why when I work on female dolls I love doing smokey eye shadow. It helps with any lines that don’t look as straight as what they should. Smokey eye on Terrence wasn’t what I was going for. I tried to limit the amount of shading and for a first attempt I will admit I was happy with him. I enjoyed working on him so much I gave him his walnut bag and tried my best to create his acorn hat.

Rosetta - this doll right here is the reason I fell in love with using yarn for hair. Not only is it light and doesn’t weigh the head down, but the styling is easy and perfect! Volume is easy to create, curls stay in position. It’s just a dream to work with. I think it looks realistic too. Using brushed out yarn will always be my go to for hair.

Iridessa - I absolutely love this little sunflower, I loved working with yellow on a Clawdeen base, not to mention it was perfect for Iridessa. I also found the best yarn for her. It has twists of silver throughout and I feel like it just highlighted her braids perfectly. I honestly don’t think I could have created a better version of Iridessa. I absolutely love this doll.
