One of my favorite hidden details about the Country Bear Jamboree, is that all of the bears actually have official backstories given by the Imagineers. Most likely written by show writers Al Bertino and Marc Davis, these mini bios were published around the time of the opening of the attraction at Walt Disney World.
Terrence - my first boy doll to repaint. This was a major challenge for me. I have hand tremors, so working on fine lines is a huge challenge for me. Making a line steady makes my anxiety hit the roof. That’s why when I work on female dolls I love doing smokey eye shadow. It helps with any lines that don’t look as straight as what they should. Smokey eye on Terrence wasn’t what I was going for. I tried to limit the amount of shading and for a first attempt I will admit I was happy with him. I enjoyed working on him so much I gave him his walnut bag and tried my best to create his acorn hat. . . .
