Punk is Gay is an upcoming charity zine celebrating punk, goth, and alternative fashioned lesbian characters. Artists needed! Illustrator apps open until March 23rd!

The enamel pins have arrived, thus all merch production is now complete. Our packaging materials have also arrived, and we have begun preparations for shipping. The zine is still in production, but should be shipped to us by the end of the month.
Hopefully, if all goes well, we will be able to begin shipping by next month.

The team at Original Magic would like to spotlight our first writer today! They have a unique OC thats actually a twin to one of our zine artist’s OCs- small world! A reminder that preorders open May 23rd.
Piper is a magical girl who’s only a magical girl to cover for someone else – her twin brother Harper. She starts out reluctant, but eventually gets swept up in his momentum, and the unexpected joy she gets out of it. She’s serious and well meaning, but her words are always sharper than they really need to be.
What would your OC name their WiFi network?
Wifi. Nobody ever said Piper was particularly creative.
How would your OC deal with quarantine?
I think Piper would go stir crazy. She’d be a quarantine baker, crafter, and gardener – she likes to keep busy.
If your OC could add one extra power to their repertoire, what would it be and why?
The power to figure out what the hell is going on in Harper’s mind at any given moment.

We are happy to introduce you to another one of our talented contributors, along with their OC! Read ahead to learn more about one of the magical girls in our zine, Miranda. Preorders will be opening May 23rd!
Miranda is a nervous bookworm who can enter a world called the Dreamscape in her sleep. She fights against vicious nightmares to protect everyone else while they are dreaming, accompanied by her trusted magical teddy bear Bogart. In her free time she tries to learn more about her family heritage and the secrets of the Dreamscape.
What inspired you to create this character?
The basic idea of how much objects and items can mean to a person, in this instance thinking about a child’s favorite toy. I combined that with a “starry night sky aesthetic” I hadn’t used for any other character yet.
What is your OC’s favorite thing to do when they aren’t saving the world?
Miranda loves to get cozy with books, a blanket and hot tea.
