one important writing lesson i have taught myself in recent years is that no book, no matter how seemingly daunting, is impossible. nothing is too high for me to reach for. i am capable of writing and finishing anything. whether i want to finish that thing after a certain amount of time is a different thing, but i can.i have bucketlist books i would like to write, ones i am going to write in my lifetime. i can and i will. say it with me.

my current wip “beauty is a beast” is the book of my heart which is why i think i’m having such a hard time writing it
my other wip that i currently have shelved “lady in red” has a lot of myself (especially with regards to my disabilities) in it that it scares me to write but maybe one day i’ll be able to write it and examine those parts of myself
i really want to write a contemporary romance with an asexual main character but i’ve written fantasy for so long that i don’t know how to write in this world
i want so badly to write a book about a pirate falling in love with a siren like just thinking about it right now is making me excited. but that requires a lot of research about pirates and siren myths
the most daunting project i have shelved is what i’ve been calling “f/f meg and hades” disney’s hercules is my favorite movie and i’ve always been intrigued by meg’s story — selling her soul to hades to save the life of a man who didn’t really love her — and, being who i am as a person, i thought “okay but what if meg fell in love with hades” and i think about it a lot but i am terrified to write it
I have started a Discord server for writers in the Haikyuu!! fandom! Despite being 18+, it is not exclusively a NSFW server.

First of all, we’d like to thank @talesofsymphoniac for hosting the event for three wonderful years, and trusting us to keep it going!
Secondly, you’re probably aware tumblr was deserted by a lot of people this past December. In order to make the most of the event and reach as many people as we can, we created a twitter account and a pillowfort community. We hope many of you will join us there!
Now down to what you’re all here for: the 4th edition of sormikweek!
During the following month we will decide which week of july/august the event should be held, as well as the overall themes. We’re counting on you to help us!
We’re in the process of creating the list of themes for the event and encourage everyone to submit their own ideas along with their preference for a week! Once we have a good pool of suggestions we’ll have a vote for a fan-chosen day!

Our director, Cate Carson, is working on another bad-ass project with the Alliance of Women Directors, premiering in October at Disney Studios. We can’t wait to share more about it, and will definitely release more info as it develops.
In the meantime, Cate, and the rest of the core team and department heads of PURE are still plugging away at pre-production for our pilot episode. Locations are locked, costumes are being made, and we are meeting with weapons masters to begin creating the prop weapons for our fight sequence. More to come!
I have been insanely busy, which is not likely to change thus yet, but I thought I would share a bit of a teaser. ;3 I’m gonna try and get back into writing SC things, but I do wanna pursue my other project as well. I’m currently working out how to approach this, but I am pretty excited for the future! ;w;

I just realised Harry is the link to Ewan and Julia going full circle: Aethelstan being Ecgwynn and Edward’s son, Osferth being Edward’s half brother ties him to Ecgwynn as brother in law (and obviously guardian period) through Aethelstan and all my WOF folks know that Ecgwynn (Julia) and Osferth (Ewan) are best siblings Tom and Lois Bennett in another universe. Then not to forget Harry worked with Ewan before. The fact these three ended up having so much connections through a sole person over little performances lol.
