#outdoor nude
I’ve liked this photograph for a long while, gazing out across the water he seems almost unaware his picture is being taken, relaxed and at ease to be outdoors undressed.
Regrettably I don’t have the name of the photographer, only that it was a shot from 1906/07 - I appeal to you, good readers of discerning taste and extensive knowledge, if anyone knows the artist I will be glad to add that information here!

A sublime subtle nude by one of the greats, a restful scene of quiet contemplation in a gorgeous sun-dappled outdoor setting, simply perfect composition, a beautifully easy and relaxed model, and a tangible sense of peace and calm as by cool still water he gazes away into the leafy woods. Oh to feel grass beneath my toes again, I do so miss summer and soft green!

A gently beautiful nude portrait by J. G Paine, c1920, though sadly the sitter’s name is not credited - rather than the quaint and faintly comical censorship by carefully placed leaf, favoured in earlier decades, this time the charming model’s modesty is preserved by the pose alone, giving the image a refreshingly modern and unfussy look.

Taken in the early 1910s by E. Schneider, this whole set of photographs look remarkably modern, their emphasis on physical activity in the great outdoors being far removed from the usual studio-set academic nudes in classic poses, which proliferated just a decade earlier.

This image stands out among those taken by E. Schneider on this rocky beach in the early 1910s - while his others show the nude models climb or rest among the rocks seemingly at ease, this man is acting a far more dramatic part. Wrists bound by chains, taut muscles in his arm telling he struggles to escape, not meekly submit to his fate.

Self portrait by Pierre Bonnard, “Examining the foliage of a tree”, Garden Montval, 1900/1901. In a usually neglected detail when artists model for their own photographic work and someone else must release the shutter, for this shot he recorded that the camera was operated by Marthe, his wife.

Perched on an old sun-bleached and weathered fence, this curly-haired young man poses for a charmingly casual scene with a lovely sense of timelessness to it - the beauty of the male nude and the pleasure of being out in the sun remain unchanged through all generations.

An eye-catching evocative image from Gaetano D’Agata, working in Taormina in the 1910s and ‘20s, doing his best to imitate the distinctive Arcadian style made so popular in the 19th Century. The splendid scenery has changed little with the passing years, the handsome models a younger generation - perhaps even sons or nephews of those who posed for von Gloeden.

Several years ago, I took the risk of getting completely naked on a public beach in Hawaii. Such a thrill and turn-on, I got very aroused. Took this photo as proof to myself that I’d actually done it. Then proceeded to masturbate for about 10 minutes. Squirted like a fountain! Loved it! I really hope to do it again someday. I don’t think anyone saw me.
