Since Simon can’t wish Betty back from Prismo, he did the next thing he wanted to do which was to make Marceline happy. He managed to get Hambo back for Marcy.
Marceline and PB adopted Pep but and Pep but as a baby is instantly drawn to Hambo. BMO would stop by more often to to play with them (or learn dark magic )
