I know this obviously doesn’t go with my blog’s theme, and I hate to do this, but I’ve seen other people do this and people have come together to help. My dog Daizy desperately needs dental surgery. Her teeth are so rotten that over half need to be taken out, and if they’re not it could lead to heart or kidney issues. Anyone with a pet knows that vet bills are outrageous, and I’m a broke college student that doesn’t work over the school year. My parents have been really weird about it and just won’t pay for it or even let me help pay for it. I think they don’t want to do anything for her since she’s thirteen, but she doesn’t act like she’s old and I believe she has more years left. I’ll put a link to the Go Fund Me I made for her. If you have a spare dollar, or know someone who does, or just spread this, I would be forever grateful. Also, if you have a small dog please brush their teeth or get their teeth cleaned or get them treats that clean their teeth. I didn’t know this was so important and I regret it so much. Dental problems are very common with small dogs and I don’t want anyone else’s dog to suffer. I put some pictures below of her so you can see what she looks like.

PLEASE HELP!!! CALCIFER IS VERY SICK!!

I am so sorry to have to do this, but my cat Cal is very sick. We found him this morning in a lot of pain, and we rushed him to an emergency vet clinic. They are wanting $3000 to treat him. He has a urinary block, and they are saying that he’s going to be put down if we do not give them the money. They do not take payment plans. Only ScratchPay and CareCredit.

The urinary block is going to require 36 hours of treatment with a catheter and fluids. Just the emergency exam fees, and the pain medicine they gave him alone cost $950, so we are tapped out entirely.

BIG UPDATE!!!

We met our goal in around 13 hours thanks to all of y’all. We CANNOT thank you enough for the tremendous effort and care put into helping our boy.

Update on what is going on medically:

Calcifer is being treated currently. He is sedated and on IV fluids with a catheter. They said that there were some crystals and some blood in his urine, and it’s almost certain that he has FIC. They will be keeping him for tonight and giving us daily updates.(Morning and evening.)

I will keep you all updated, and make sure that you know how he is doing, and when he comes home.

Again, thank you so much. We couldn’t have done it without your help.

We lost Emily this morning

Her tumors have grown too big for her body to support and she was visibly starting to give up on fighting so my vet and I decided now was the kindest time to let her go before she faced any more suffering.

Hi everyone this is not my usual post begging for phone bill money. So some of you remember me saying Penny’s been throwing up every day and I thought she was really sensitive to my mom’s dog food but today I noticed her vomit was full of little blood clots. I called the vet immediately and they told me it’d run about $200 for an exam and medicine for nausea, to see if she has ulcers, etc. but if the first visit doesn’t fix it they’ll have to go to blood work and X-rays which’ll be $600 more. So I’m just trying to raise the $200 for the basic visit and see if that fixes it before asking for any more.

Please, she’s my best friend and my favorite person in the world. She’s the only thing keeping me going. Losing her has been my worst fear for the last 2 years because she was such a tiny little runt I wasn’t sure she’d make it at all. I mean, look at her size. She’s a pit bull for Christ’s sakes. We can’t afford for her to lose nutrients. I will do anything for this $200.

Edit: I almost forgot to mention, Penny’s vet DOES NOT BILL. This has to be paid up front for her to be seen at all.
