Channel Islands Marine & Wildlife Institute (CIMWI) During the month of May 2019, Channel Islands Marine & Wildlife Institute (CIMWI), our all-volunteer nonprofit organization rescued 62 starving California sea lion pups and we are in a crisis situation providing medical and rehabilitation care for these animals. We continue to rescue more starving pups each day. We urgently need fish to fill our freezer so we can nurse these animals back to health and return them to the wild. Fish costs $1 a pound. Our goal is to raise $22,000.

My family’s dog Fiona was attacked by two large dogs and needs emergency vet care. Any help is much appreciated! Spreading this post is just as helpful as donating!
Hi all. A few days ago, my friend, Keyes,was returning home from the hospital after surgery when he was attacked by a group of teens. They started throwing rocks at him, yelling homophobic slurs, and they urinated on his porch. He managed to get away but they’ve continued to pose a threat. Police are aware of what’s going on, and are monitoring the situation, but there’s not much they can do at the moment.
Attacks like this have happened to him before. He’s had such a difficult few months, and was in the process of getting to the bottom of some chronic health issues when this attack happened. The money he was going to use to pay for specialist/doctors’ visits was instead going to be used for new security measures for his house: cameras, an alarm, tamper-proof windows, etc.
I really, really don’t want him to have to choose between his health and his safety, so I’ve started a Go Fund Me to help pay for those security measures he needs, AND hopefully raise some extra funds to pay for future doctor visits. He’s just had one crisis after another, all of which are outside of his control. I love him to pieces, and I know so many other people do, too.
If you can donate or share this post and the Go Fund Me, it would mean the world to me, and I know it would mean the world to him, too. (If we got 2,000 people to donate $1 each, we could get him taken care of!)
Earlier this year I had posted about helping with a gofundme for my friend so that she can keep her mother’s house. The city has a LOT of pressure on them and they just paid off the house. All of their hard work would be for nothing. With the storm that passed through more damage has happened. This family is desperate at this point. Please if you can not give, just share it. Onyx was rescued from a very bad situation in the Miller Kelton area. The house that she and her sibling were rescued from is a suspected drug house. Onyx and her sibling were not being taken care of and there were several other cats there, also neglected, abandoned and fending for themselves. PetPromise helped to get Onyx out of that situation and into a foster home where she thrived. She is available for adoption now. Onyx is a sweet kitty who is very docile. She gets along well with other calm and laid back cats and calm dogs.
She is also the second cat we are featuring to help show that with our Zen Cat Cafe we could be giving cat’s like Onxy a comfortable place with lots of love and attention while she waits for her forever home.
I know this obviously doesn’t go with my blog’s theme, and I hate to do this, but I’ve seen other people do this and people have come together to help. My dog Daizy desperately needs dental surgery. Her teeth are so rotten that over half need to be taken out, and if they’re not it could lead to heart or kidney issues. Anyone with a pet knows that vet bills are outrageous, and I’m a broke college student that doesn’t work over the school year. My parents have been really weird about it and just won’t pay for it or even let me help pay for it. I think they don’t want to do anything for her since she’s thirteen, but she doesn’t act like she’s old and I believe she has more years left. I’ll put a link to the Go Fund Me I made for her. If you have a spare dollar, or know someone who does, or just spread this, I would be forever grateful. Also, if you have a small dog please brush their teeth or get their teeth cleaned or get them treats that clean their teeth. I didn’t know this was so important and I regret it so much. Dental problems are very common with small dogs and I don’t want anyone else’s dog to suffer. I put some pictures below of her so you can see what she looks like.
A few days ago my grandfather was rushed to the hospital due to a lot of health complications including an ulcer and kidney problems. Unfortunately there was no space for him in the public hospital and had to be relocated to a private hospital. Which is extremely expensive
The medical bills have just piled up and our family has exhausted all of our assets to try and pay them - my biggest fear is that if we dont pay them the hospital will with hold treatment again.
I haven’t seen my grandfather in over a decade because we live half way across the globe, through the internet we have stayed connected and he has been one of my greatest sources of support and encouragement but now that he is in hospital the fear that we won’t be able to see him in person again has become real and it terrifies me.
My mum is an only child so she is the only person my grandparents can rely on, both my sister and i have put university on hold to work and help out but we really are at our wits end.
If there is any one out there that is willing to donate and help us please do, it would mean the absolute world
Me and my mother live in the north of Quebec and will probably lose our home if no help is reached by Beginning of january. I am a university student and draw as a part time job, since no other source of income is possible in our small town. My mother is unable to work due to health problems and we are not able to pay our taxes at the moment, which would lead us to be evicted.
