There were actually two well suited presidential candidates than Marcos during the election yet they still voted for him. TWO PEOPLE! TWO!!! If people didn’t want to vote for Robredo, they should have voted for Lacson instead. But no! Majority chose Marcos. A dictator’s son who didn’t even finish school.
And really? Electing a mediocre actor that was convicted before for illegal possession of firearms as a senator instead of decent lawyers with good backgrounds. I just can’t comprehend why.
People are actually celebrating this “victory” while the youth cry for their future. I can only hope that these people can prove us wrong and actually do a good job.

Hey guys, I know I don’t post much in this blog anymore and I am not exactly sure who will see this but I’m posting this because today is the Philippine Presidential Elections and, just like what other people here are already saying, we’re fighting for our lives right now.
We are fighting against the return of dictatorship in the country. We are fighting against the continuation of corruption and injustice. We are fighting for a better future. We are fighting, so that we may finally know peace.
Today,multiple issues regarding the elections have come up. Vote-Counting Machines (VCMs) “malfunctioning”, SD cards missing, people getting PAID for voting for the dictator’s son and his party, and more. Even the commission in charge of ENSURING FAIR ELECTIONS is failing to fully understand the grasp said issues, wasting people’s time and votes.

I’m really gonna cry. I can’t believe I’m actually alive during this. Hearing stories from my parents of how they didn’t have enough money to come home to the province from Manila, and Ferdinand Marcos threatening to kill the people outside protesting against him. My dad literally had to leave his family to find a job in Manila at 15 to earn more money.
And just hearing stories of my parents, my aunt witnessing history, I knew that I was not gonna let that happen and do anything in my power to spread knowledge.
