Along with Dante I finally made a proper ref of Marty! It has been a long time since I drew this odd little puppet.

He was the star of his show, Marty’s Neighborhood, where he would do his day to day life and meeting the various residents of said Neighborhood. In each episode there would be some type of lesson to learn. Marty would be depicted as polite, friendly, and soft spoken. The show ran from the 1970s to 2002. In 2005 the creator of Marty passed away and after his passing his house was turned into a museum that displays his creations which includes Marty.

Though some time after the creation of the museum security guards and even the wife of the late creator would notice that at night or when they come by in the morning that the puppets would not be at the places they should be.

After so many years of having this character and drawing him I FINALLY made a proper ref of Dante! I mainly made the ref to prepare for this year’s artfight. Looking forward to seeing who or if people will draw him.

So waaay back in 2020 I did this drawing of Vernon’s worm form in the style of Richard Sarry’s Lowly Worm.  After I drew Vernon’s worm form in the style of Richard Scarry’s Lowly Worm that inspired me to draw him driving a little apple car.

I had been meaning to make an updated ref of Vernon since the info of their color scheme I had typed down was lost when my hard drive crashed some years ago. Now getting around to such I did change aspects of his designs from his hair horns color being more fading (black fading into blue), changing their teeth color, and putting markings on his arms.

This was such a fun ref to do for this character.

Ikhor Dekor is a cosmic demon who mainly communicates with clicks and low ambient droning noises from the throat. They tend to stay in Margarita’s house and backyard, helping around. Be it watering the plants, tending to creatures Margarita takes care of, and goes shopping with her. Though they don’t go out much unless it is with Margarita since they don’t really like crowds. Not much is known about them and why they are in Pardesu but they don’t really say much so who knows.

So two weeks ago in my Into to Short Fiction class I was drawing in my notebook and thought about designing the demon that not just sold the odd ink-like liquid to Malgreth which was used to make Fis but also was partially responsible for the creation of Dop.

Brorreth is a demon sales man in Krasix who just goes around selling whatever he finds, no matter how odd to questionable where he got said item is.

So some years ago I drew my oc Dean but never really did a proper ref of him until now.

Dean is a cosmic parasitoid (an original species I made) which are shapeshifting beings capable of transforming into different species to blend into various societies to hunt prey. They are capable of of killing deities which the gods do not like that and would prefer to eradicate them however this species only really hunt after deities that cause harm on the world to universe so it is complicated.

Dean is an interesting cosmic parasitoid mainly staying not just in one form but also in one place. Most tend to not stay in places for long, moving from place to place. But he is comfortable living in the area of Hazel Peak and Springbay. Not just that but he considers the place his home and has a community. Though no one knows he is a cosmic parasitoid, most thing he is a human hybrid of sorts. When he isn’t going out to the woods to hunt he is practicing with his bass. He did recently join a band but unfortunately it is Damien’s band, The Bleeding Heart. He doesn’t really like Damien but he is trying to make the best out of the situation.

Despite his off putting appearance he is a pretty chill guy and tries to give advice when asked on something.

ALSO, yeah my arm is very well healed so hopefully I will be making more art while looking for a new job that is part time.

Sorry for not posting in awhile, got a job back in mid February and have been tired/busy when doing both that and school (I posted this on FA when I did have a job). I am on my spring break from school so here is my proper ref for my oc Lars.

I had been meaning to do a ref for him some time now. After thinking more about elves in my Pardesu setting and my species Daemortis I wanted to design Lars’ design to fit more on it.

Lars is a meadow elf/daemortis hybrid who plays music with Maggot Master (Van). He plays the keyboard while Van sings. He is also Van’s other partner.

So Daemortis tends to have physical traits that are similar to diseases and will have some form of vulture to condor traits. While Meadow elves tend to have pale green skin and have deer traits. I mixed both together and god I made Lars look super sickly. Which I am proud of it.

So I finally made a proper ref of Damien after making him like…two years ago or something? This came out mostly well. Though how I did the quote tattoo on his arm for the full body I am not proud of because the placement was weird. The disembodied left arm with the tattoo is the more accurate of the quote tattoo placement.

Anyway, so I have talked a bit about him before but here is some more info. Damien Angelo Twilightthorn is the son of a pretty powerful to decently well respected sorcerer family. He has a…complicated relationship with his family. His father isn’t a great man (hell his dad’s dad was worse), very controlling to emotionally abusive. While his mother feels like she owes Damien’s dad for so much and she feels like if she leaves then she’ll have no support at all. A lot of this affected Damien but how he takes it isn’t great. Even though he hates his father he also wants his approval, he thinks if he can just prove to his dad that what he is doing with his life is successful then his dad will respect him. While he feels resentment towards his mom and blames her for well being with his dad. That her taking the emotional abuse his her own fault, that her femininity is what makes her weak compared to his dad’s more…“masculine behavior”. This has made him have weird toxic masculinity issues.

Outside of that he is the lead singer of his own (shitty) emo metal band, The Bleeding Heart, which edgy name and he is not being ironic. His public image is complicated because on the one hand he has fans who adore him but there are plenty of people who hate him for a variety of reasons from the music he makes to when his misogyny slips out. He is a hard person to be around. He only has a small circle of actual friends compared to his other “friends” to “acquaintances” he has.

Other notable things about him is that he is Denis’ shitty ex, they did not end on good terms and Damien was very horrible in the relationship. Despite Damien claiming to be over Denis, deep down he is not.

An early birthday gift for my friend @ourmasteram featuring his ENTITY oc LOVEME.EXE and my oc Stanton causing some computer mayhem on someone’s poor computer.

So for my final in my Drawing 1 class we could draw whatever we want as long as we used the various techniques we learned throughout the semester. So what I decided was to do a watercolor painting of my deity oc that created my original species, the Daemortis.

This was due on the 13th of December and I got started on it on the 5th of December. So I had basically a week before it was due. It was my first time designing her and I had to restrain myself on certain details since I wanted to get it done. It was still detailed but not to the point where I would be caught up on it.

She is a deity of death and disease so I looked at references of Vultures to incorporate that into her design. But I also looked up a variety of diseases and skin conditions. Showing her pale to discolored skin, cysts, rashes, tears at the mouth, and such. The horns are based on horn cysts. When it came to the wings I did use watercolor black first but it wasn’t dark enough so I mixed charcoal into it. The charcoal made a fuzzy texture which really make this piece stand out more. I would use the residue of charcoal with minimal shadows on the body. I also used a bit of ink when it came to her hair.

I am genuinely proud of this piece and it is a super good basis what what I want to go for when I work on her design more.
