Beca clenched and unclenched her hands as she sat in the waiting room. She hated this, hated the uncertainty and the sitting around and the lack of control , hated the lights and the smell of the doctors office, hated all of it. Fingers gently threaded with hers, Beca’s head turning from the floor to the woman smiling softly at her, her other hand brushing the brunette hair from her eyes as she kissed her forehead along the worry lines forming there.

“I love you.” Chloe whispered against her skin, “No matter what, I love you okay?”

“Okay.” Beca mumbled, her hand squeezing Chloe’s tightly, “I love you too. You know that right?”

“Yeah.” Chloe nodded, caressing Beca’s cheek with her thumb, still smiling warmly at her, “Of course I do.”
