When I was a teenager, I found an article in a magazine. The article was about a girl I did not know and had never met. Miraculously, I heard my own story in her words. That was the very first time I realized, I wasn’t alone, I wasn’t crazy, someone knew what I was going through. I carried around that article in my back pocket for a long time. Years later, I came out with my own story and wrote an article for a magazine. At a coffee shop one day, a girl came up to me. She had MY article in her own back pocket. She said it helped her realize she could recover as well. ✨✨✨ This September I have 11 years of recovery from what that article was about.
Sept Letters is a chance for us to realize we are more alike than different. Although our circumstances may be unique, we can all share in empathy that we ALL have something we’ve overcome in our life. Not worse, not better… but our own. September Letters is a place we can share our stories and know …someone may just need to carry it around in their own back pocket.
If we were hypothetically thinking about putting something together again for another donation push in the coming months (not necessarily just for BLM but even broader)…how many people would be interested and/or available to fulfill prompts?
This would probably be forOctober because we want to leave ample time for donations and assignments to go out.
This has been such an incredible collective effort from our fandom and we’re so happy that donations continue to go towards causes and organizations even as social media posts die down. We received a number of notices of fan donations related to Pride as well during the month of June.

I watched Pitch Perfect 3 last night and ended up having a dream where all of the actresses were giant Greek Goddesses, except Rebel Wilson who was some kind of museum curator and was running around trying to get them all to return back to the artifacts they had come out of.
The main part of the dream that stood out was where something like a 200ft Hailee Steinfeld was running on water towards land with sword raised and shield in hand during a dark storm as Rebel Wilson was standing on the land shouted too her:
“Athena! Get back in the shield!”
And then Hailee/Athena fell forward, turned into some kind of cosmic energy and went into the normal human-sized shield Rebel Wilson was holding.
