The Light Of Christmas Morning, a soft Jasico oneshot

This is a Christmas gift for @sadisticsunshine , a little birdy told me Jasico was your favorite (it was you, you were the birdy)

First time writing this ship, it’s really short and plot-less, but I hope you enjoy nonetheless!

The light of dawn, paler and softer than morning light. The light of soft skin and timeless memories. This early morning sun shone through the faint cracks between the window blinds. The beams fell on dark bare skin against pale blue sheets. The only sound breaking the serene calm was the hum of the heater in the brisk air.

The high toned sound of a creaking door whispered out. This was followed by the rythmic beat of soft padding footsteps.

Olive fingers ran across bow-string back muscles, causing them to twitch under the skin. At the light contact, long blonde eyelashes fluttered open. The blur of first sight faded to blue eyes peeking up at a soft faced angel.

Teeth peeked into the world as the awoken man smiled to his love. The scar bearing on the man’s lip contorted with the gesture. Without a word, the younger man brushed soft lips again the stubble on the other’s cheek.

Drawing back, the standing one opened his mouth. His soft voice sounding like a music box in the still winter air.

“Merry Christmas, my darling”

The man slowly sat up, his scarred torso shining in the faint light. His mind filled with memories of the weeks of holiday prep. He fondly remembered the night before, putting the last bow on a brightly colored box.

“Merry Christmas, Nico.” The man returned. Like a gymnast, he swung his feet over the edge of the two’s bed. Landing them in fuzzy sky blue slippers. His hand pecked wire frames off the standing simple nightstand. He placed them on the bridge of his nose as he stood up and took his loved one by the hand, the two walking out of the bed room.

The kitchen was filled with the scent of peppermint and coffee. Light holiday music played from a source unseen as two steaming cups sat on a coffee table. Grabbing both of the cups, Nico nodded for Jason to follow into the living room.

The tree has already been illuminated. Blue strands an silver tinsel sparkling together. Under the tree there was an orchestra of blue and gray paper, gifts for the other.

Nico sat on the floor, legs crossing with the grace of a bird. Jason followed him, his eyes shining like the blue ornaments above their heads.

Jason grabbed Nico’s hand, running his scarred thumb along Nico’s thin fingers.

Nico blinked slowly, his voice questioning though full of pure admiration. “Don’t you just love Christmas?”

Jason smiled, his mind wondering how he ever got so lucky. “My love, with you, I love everyday.”

Nico smiled, his dark eyes dilating in the light.

This really was the start to a perfect Christmas.

Summary: Nico di Angelo and Will Solace had just happened to be tucked into the same book store one Winter afternoon. After a book of chance brings them together, they are pleased to meet one another for the first time.

Ship: Solangelo

Genre: Fluff, Mortal AU

Enjoy!

Book stores, a wonderful place to be on a brisk winter day. There is just something about them that seems to magically draw in people from the cold. This may be because of the warmth of the shop, the small shop cafe, or the delightful idea of reading while warming up.

Any one of these things could have been the reason Nico di Angelo and Will Solace happened to be there the same day.

The two didn’t even know each other. They had never met, nor have they ever heard the other’s name. Though in the rustic bookstore, they stood not even five feet apart, looking at shelves on opposite sides.

Nico wore a black jumper, sticking to his aesthetic while pampering the cooler weather. His new reading glasses, thin square frames, slipped down his nose as he scanned titles.

William didn’t see anything but the waves of books. He was at the shop to buy a last minute Christmas gift for one of his friends. He licked his fingers and scanned page after page. He was so engulfed in his book hunt that he did not notice the other boy in the aisle with him, nor did he notice him when the two were shoulder to shoulder.

The two boys reached for the same book. A small paperback with the image of a black haired boy. He was up to knees in water as an above-head storm brewed, a sword glew in his hand.

Feeling the contact between their hands, Will looked up to Nico, who in turn took his hand back.

“Oops, sorry.” Will spoke, realizing the other’s presence for the first time.

“Don’t worry about it,” Nico said, speaking with his hands.

Will picked up the book the two had reached for, “I guess this book is just popular, huh?” He turned the book in his hands, scanning the covers.

Nico shrugged, “I’ve heard it’s good. Though I heard some of the characters are a bit stiff. I haven’t gotten around to reading it though.”

Will glanced up from the hardcover. “You read a lot?”

“I enjoy reading, takes me a while to get through a book though.” Nico said.

“Why’s that?”

“I’m dyslexic, not too big of a deal, but it definitely doesn’t make things easier.”

Will smiled, “we have one thing in common then.”

Nico nodded, and then, “do you read a lot?”

Will mockingly widened his eyes, “I’m a med student. I read toomuch.”

Nico cocked up an eyebrow, “A doctor? Impressive. Tell me Doc, what are you doing in the children’s section?”

Will placed his hand in his hip, gesturing to a near by sign. “One:Young adult. Two: I can ask you the same thing. Three. I’m talking with a cute boy who I’m hoping isn’t weirded out by me.”

Nico laughed, his teeth shining through his smile. “Not in the slightest.” He stuck his hand out. “Nico.”

Will took it. “Nico, I like that. I’m Dr.Solace, but my friends call me Will.”

“Dr.Solace it is then.” Nico said, a gleam in his eye.

“Hey!” Will cried in mock offense. “That was cheap!”

Nico shrugged with his smile, “it was too good to let up.”

Will nodded as if pondering a piece of art. Nico spoke again, “So why are you in the young adult section?”

Will gestured to the books, “last minute gift shopping, and you?”

“Just browsing, I enjoy bookshops.” Nico said.

Will held up the book the two had both reached for. “You know what this book is good for?”

“What’s that?” Nico asked.

Will smiled, taking his chances, “it let me meet you.”

Nico’s eyes narrowed in a passive aggressive expression, though a smile played at his lips, “you’re lucky you’re cute.”

Will laughed, “you think I’m cute?”

Nico rolled his eyes, “oh god, we have ourselves a charmer.”

Will tapped the book with his fingers, “how about I go buy this, and then we go grab some food?”

Nico tapped his bottom lip, as if he was considering. “Let’s see here.” His voice trailed off.

“My treat,” Will offered.

“I’m free.” Nico decided.

The two laughed, Will grasped the two’s shared book firmly in his hands. Outside, a flurry had just began to coat the sidewalk. This was definitely a winter they were going to remember.

AHot Halloween: A Solangelo Fanfiction

Requested by: @internallyexplodingrainbows

Summary: Nico and Will are getting ready for Percy’s Halloween party, when they reveal their scandalous surprise costumes, let’s just say the two of them almost forget about the party all together.

“Neeks? Ya almost ready?”

Will Solace’s voice came from the other side of the door, as Nico di Angelo sat in front of his mirror, tapping shimmer high onto his cheek bones and smacking his bright red lips together one last time.

“Be out in one second!”

It was Halloween night and the couple was putting finishing touches on their surprise costumes for their friend Percy’s annual Halloween party.

Nico had gone with the overdone Halloween vampire, but nothing about his outfit was ordinary. The boy wore a long, sheer, black cape with high heeled boots. The shirt he wore was straight out of a Victorian Era museum. His lips bore blood red lipstick and his face shimmered in the right light. And the only thing sharper than his eyeliner was the fitted fangs he popped into his mouth.

He stood up from his seat, pulled on his matching black gloves, and checked himself in the mirror one last time.

From the other side of the bedroom door, Nico yelled, “are you ready to see the great reveal?”

In response, Will cheered against the bedroom door.

Nico grabbed the doorknob, though it was difficult with his long acrylic nails. He turned it with slight trouble and pushed the door out, stepping out into the hall in a mock runway walk. He got to the end of the hallway, posed and turned to walk back to his boyfriend. But just as he turned back around he got a sight of Will’s costume for the first time.

Nico had known Will was doing a pirate, but dang.

Will was wearing a sheer white button down, so light that one could see Will’s dark complexion shining through the fabric. Nico could see his skin where the shirt was unbuttoned so far down the middle his scar scattered torso was visible to the world. The shirt was tucked into tight, leather capris that clung to every concave of Will’s legs. A fake parrot clung to Will’s shoulder. The outfit was finished off with some boots, a belt, a tilted pirate hat and a single gold hoop swinging from his ear.

Nico looked up, to see Will’s awestruck face staring at him. His cheekbones glew a bright red.

Nico spit a curse and then, “well don’t you clean up nice, Solace?” His voice held some comedy, but he was still in awe.

Not replying to the joke, Will strode forward, as if I’m a trance, and said, “Oh my Gods, how are you so gorgeous?”

Nico smiled and then looked back at Will’s outfit. “One could ask the same of you, Captain.”

Will held a hand out, lightly running his finger along Nico’s glittering cheekbone.

Nico laughed, “you’re so gay.”

Will smiled lightly, “so are you.”

“That’s the point, Solace.”

Nico backed up, looking at the two of their outfits, and laughed.

Will cocked his head to the side, “what?”

Nico gestured to the two of them. “Our dads would be so proud.”

Will straightened his posture, his boots clicking against the wood ground. “Excuse me? Apollo helped me pick out this outfit. Speak for yourself.”

Nico smirked, “I take it back.”

Will nodded solemnly, “that’s what I thought. Now, get your vampy body in the car, we’re going to be late to Percy’s.”

Nico flashed his fake fangs, “Are you sure we can’t be a few minutes late?”

Will smiled, grabbing Nico’s hand, “Come on, Twilight.”

Nico narrowed his eyes, “at least I don’t have a bird on my arm.”

Will laughed, it was yet another Halloween, but somehow this one was so much better.

[Happy Halloween!]
