Siberian Miner’s-Lettuce, Claytonia sibirica (Montiaceae). Not as tasty as its perfoliate counterpart, but still edible. The name is Miner’s-Lettuce because early settlers and miners used it in salads. (Not related to garden lettuce, Lactuca sativa in the Asteraceae ).

The specific epithet “aquifolium” means “holly-like leaves”. Holly is in the family Aquifoliaceae, and not related to this plant. However, the leaves do share a resemblance! Both have thick, leathery leaves, and can have pointed, undulating margins.
