I’ve been itching to draw Porky’s Duck Hunt in Tex Avery’s MGM style for a few years now, and Daffy’s upcoming anniversary is as great an excuse as any–this was a really fun exercise that I couldn’t keep to myself! Happy early birthday to my favorite cartoon duck and favorite cartoon anything!
Yeah I’ve drawn Marvin! but it was 6+ years ago and only for a AU where the duck dodgers characters (Daffy, marvin, porky) were a D&D group. Above is a new version plus bugs and Lola. ;)

If you grew up watching Looney Tunes, then you know Chuck Jones, one of all-time masters of visual comedy. Normally I would talk about his ingenious framing and timing, but not today. Instead, I’d like to explore the evolution of his sensibilities as an artist.
