I was mad they didn’t dress up Clive so I gave him a partyhat for the occasion. And then added a friend cuz he shouldn’t drink alone.
Flora and future Flora’s relationship
I like to think that Flora calls her future self future me instead of big Flora like the others do. She’s just so sure that big Flora is her future self and desperately wishes for this future to become reality.
The professor treats her like an adult woman, older Luke doesn’t leave her behind and stays by her side all the time. Even younger Luke treats her older self with way more respect.
…The truth will break her heart.
I had this thought for a long time… His jacket just- engulfs her entirely if it’s the official Layton scale
Some Mary facts
-She’s a great cook! Usually does all the cooking when living with Clive. (He sucks at it. Well he had servants for that aka Spring.)
-Singing and playing the piano are a hobby of hers. I imagine her parents wanted her to learn at least one instrument.
-She helps out in her adoptive parents clockshop and since then has learned how to repair as well as make her own clocks.
-Spring probably taught Mary knitting since it’s mentioned as her hobby in her bio. But Mary prefers to sneak of to Cogg and help him with clocks.
-She’s very nerdy when it comes to machinery. She’s very interested in the mechanical aspect of Dimitris time machine.
-She never cries. Ever. The last time she cried was when her parents died. And the only other instance she has ever cried again was… after unwound future. When Clive left.

I call this dorky Clive because he looks so goofy. Is it the floofy hair or head scratch. Also may I add how huge he is compared to Mary?? He’s twice as wide as she is. The Layton girls really have very petite figures.
And return of the pocket watch. I like to think it’s a gift from Mary. Oh yeah Mary perhaps got a little upgrade herself, do you spot it? I gave her clock brooch on her frill thingy. She looks much more like Spring and Cogg’s adopted daughter that way and it’s cute dndn.
I liked the hug in the previous comic so much so I made a continuation.
They’re very clingy. Well what do you expect from two people that basically have lost everyone important in their life lol. And Mary just looks so huggable in that comfy sweater come on.

It really hurt Flora when her future self turned out to not be her future self.
The two grew really close. The Luke’s half liked, half hated each other so neither cared as much, but the Flora’s? They really bonded. Flora was just so amazed by this elegant lady that is her future self and is respected by everyone. Never left alone. Future Luke is always by her side. Even younger Luke treats her future self differently and the Professor sees her as an equal now rather than a young child. She is finally one of them. Her personal most desperate wish came true…
Future Flora’s reveal as Mary Gold felt like a personal betrayal.
