I submitted to Pokemon TCG Illustration Contest 2022 !!! It was really fun tho I’m bummed I didn’t make the top 300 XC I’ll try again next time I’m still really happy with these: Rapidash and good ol’ Pikachu!

I entered a Pokémon card art contest and 2/3 of my submissions made it to top 300 . Super cool to see everyone’s art, happy to be along side of them, lot of us had similar ideas haha. First 2 images were picked, 3rd wasn’t

this was my submission to PTCGIC2022! my favorite pokemon cards as a kid were the ones that looked like they were drawn with traditional mediums, so i wanted to do an homage to that with my contribution :-) here’s the unedited original - i drew the line art digitally, printed it out and used my lightbox to draw with colored pencils (for the first time) and some crayons as well. i usually do these drawings with just crayon but i thought i’d give colored pencils a try and i love them!
I can finally share these!! Here are my illustrations for the pokemon card art contest! A lot of really cool entries from everyone; congrats to those that made the top 300!!
