It’s a “tuft” life for the Tufted Puffin (Fratercula cirrhata). This sea bird inhabits the North Pacific, where it lives in a large colony that nests on rocky cliffs.
It uses its thick bill to dig burrows as deep as 5 feet (1.5 meters) into a cliff! Throughout much of the year, it has an orange bill, and its body is covered in sleek black plumage. But come breeding season, a patch of white embellishes its face, its bill becomes a bright orange-red color, and a golden yellow tuft grows above each eye! The transformation happens to both males and females.

On that day, Johnny was honored with the Gold Medal of Meritduring the Serbia’s Statehood Day for his “outstanding merits in public and cultural activities, especially in the field of film art and the promotion of the Republic of Serbia in the world” and his contributing on the expansion of the country’s art scene with “Puffins Impossible”, the new season from the “Puffins” series, that different from the first season, was entirely made in Serbia (instead of Italia) making this the first animated series totally produced in the country.
Up until now, “Puffins Impossible” is comprised of 54 episodes of 5 minutes each. The first season, with 18 episodes, is set to be available for purchase or rental on the Apple TV, Amazon Prime, Google Play, Chilli TV and Tatatu, being the first 3 episodes set to be released on April 8, 2022.
Reminder that puffins are extremely social and like to fit in with their friends, so they will adopt mannerisms and interests of the group. So there is a good chance this little guy is trying to be friends with the photographer by showing his interest in the camera.
