Out and About is a silent sequence comic book great for all ages. How do you get the most out of a “silent sequence” book? Here are a few tips:
1. Enjoy the pictures (obviously). Take in all the details within each frame. You might be surprised what you missed with only a quick glance.
2. If you are viewing with a child, work on verbal communication by having them narrate the story to you.
3. For a further challenge, write the story (dialogue/action/scene) for a few pages.
4. Play a game. What do you see and what does someone else see? There is an entire world in those pages.
