Exactly one year ago I was there witnessing the most magical experience of my life.
From the moment the beat dropped and Formation started playing, everything made sense. The fact that I slept only 3 hours out of a stadium, in the middle of July, with just a blanket under my body, all the pain, all of the sacrifices, everything made sense the moment she came out.
I can’t describe what was like to see her right in front of me, singing and dancing to my favorite songs, blossoming like only the most beautiful flower can do.
I cried and sang my heart out like never before and I felt so vulnerable but yet so powerful.
And then, at around 10:20 pm, I had the greatest gift I could have ever asked for.
My idol saw the sign I had neatly written for her, she made a heart with her hands and she blew a kiss right at me.
In that moment everything came full circle and I was so satisfied that I couldn’t do anything but crying.
So thank you, Beyoncé, for giving me the best night of my life, I will always keep it in my heart and sometimes when I close my eyes, I feel like a part of me is still there, in that stadium, watching the greatest artist of our generation.
