In order to affect change we need folks in traditionally gate kept hetero environments to create the tools (like research) that enable us as a society to progress and evolve. Michelle tirelessly works and utilizes her unique skill set and position to push for workplace equality, lgbtq+ rights and social change. To be queer and to be employed by these systems can sometimes feel like a conflict in values, but remember, if it’s not you holding space, it’s just gonna be another cis het white man.
