I challenged myself to swap my Red & Wolf OCs from fantasy romance to uuuhmm slice of life thriller? xD
I don’t usually like drawing contemporary/modern clothing but it was fun to figure out outfits for them :>

Hey, been a while! Just poppn’ in to say that Red & Wolf reached 5K subs on Webtoon Canvas recently! Woop woop!
Thank you to all who are following my comic, we’re about halfway through the story as of posting this. I have learned so much creating it and I hope to be a better storyteller and artist by the end of it. So thanks for coming along on this journey and for your continued patience ❤️
(And before anyone asks there will be an update soonish, this month was a little hectic bare with me ;v; )

New year, new thumbnail for Red & Wolf on Webtoon Canvas❤️

Felt like drawing something angstyyyy and it kind of turned into an experiment with brushes, textures and effects on Procreate ovo

As the weather gets colder in-story, I figured Scarlett should have an outfit that’s more appropriate for cooler temperatures. Might add a few more elements for the Winter chapter but I thought thicker, layered clothing would suffice for the next 3 parts or so. Since Scarlett is largely spending her time meeting Leikos at the threshold border to give him the goods and not traveling within the forest, the red cloak is retired (for now) as borrowing it would raise suspicion. So for extra warmth she will be donning a regular, dark forest green cloak. The color being a visual symbol of her growing closeness with Leikos, who’s tattered coat is of a similar color :>

Since spooky season is upon us, I was itching do draw something stylistically akin to Over the Garden Wall
I haven’t had a reason to draw Anthelm (the Forest Queen) yet so I thought, why not?
I’m excited to explore her dynamic with Leikos when the time comes~ ovo

I think it’s been long enough that I can talk about this scene without spoiling the most recent part of Red & Wolf. Just wanted to give a shoutout and credit to @shaylalaloohoo for inspiring the idea of Leikos getting stabbed. [The inspiration] :>
Although the manner in which he was stabbed happened much differently, I believe in giving credit where credit is due, haha. I even considered having Scarlett take an axe with her into the forest, but an axe would have been much harder to conceal from her mother.
This scene was oddly one of the things I enjoyed writing/drawing the most in this comic (so far). Not gonna think too much about what that says about me >v>;

Anyway, next part should be out sometime in June. Currently recovering from burnout ‘orz Hope you guys have been enjoying the story so far!
